The restaurant business is an expensive business to operate. Unlike many businesses whose operating cost is very high, the product of the restaurant is not that expensive in relation to its cost and to the instability of this particular market. That is why the profit in the restaurant industry is very low, about 7% on average. The business owner must make sure that his product is indeed profitable and will be able to cover the required costs. To succeed in this task he needs to conduct monthly or weekly tracking of variable costs and complicated calculations so that all his hard work is not in vain. Many restaurateurs and chefs do not have enough time to perform the necessary follow-up and these complicated calculations, which results in financial losses and at the end of the year restaurants find that they are forced to close their doors. In the restaurant business it is most important to maintain a very profitable product!
