Successful Turnaround Project Tip: Preparing to Turnaround you may plan every step thoroughly. You may drive the preparation processes ensured that you control all the activities involving internal stakeholders and informing external stakeholders about your plans! You may consolidate all the plans; you may interface all the participants, plans. You may proceed to execution; you may complete all the works, even ahead of schedule. Sometimes, unexpected obstacles like sudden changes in external stakeholders' plans may arise. Treating the turnaround like a project and controlling all assumptions and risks is essential. It's so important to speak the language of your government client. I had just earned my PMP certification and took on a project management role for a large Prime. Even though I was a certified PM, I still had to take the Defense Acquisition University (DAU) PM course. And it was different enough from what was taught at the Project Management Institute that I had to re learn PM concepts the way it was taught at DAU to do my job effectively. When writing a proposal or talking with your prospective government client, it's critical to have someone on your team that can 1) Find more information on how they communicate or 2) Already have deep knowledge around the prospective agency. #govcon #federalcontracting #procurement #governmentcontracting
