Epic week at Dreamforce with the Bryd team! Slack is clearly front and centre at Salesforce, and I couldn't be prouder of our team for driving our "Slack-first" narrative forward. With the addition of Salesforce record channels natively coming into Slack, this is a big win which we can't wait to explore with customers and internally. Building a team across the world comes with its challenges, but getting all 4 of us together in person for the first time showed just how special the group we’re assembling truly is. Slack is the glue that allows us to scale our business seamlessly across borders and time zones. Whether it's updating Salesforce directly from Slack on the fly, scheduling messages, or aligning on deals in channels, we no longer need to be in the same office, 9-5, five days a week, to make things happen. In this era of hy-bryd (our company namesake ??), we’re a GTM team globally located from New York, London, Dublin, Singapore, and Sydney to be close to both our customers and Salesforce/Slack partners (big thanks for all your support this week!). As a first-time founder, I sometimes wonder what it would be like to build a "traditional" old-school company with a single physical HQ. But the reality is, the world has changed. People want flexibility, and Slack is the Digital HQ that binds us together. That said, there’s no substitute for quality real-life interactions. Whether it’s a conference like Dreamforce, dropping in to meet our customers, or team-building activities, we need to be thoughtful about creating regular opportunities for in-person connections and nurturing the company culture. I couldn't imagine a better squad than Jacob Campbell, Jack Ardagh, Sara Dillon, and the rest of the team to be leading the charge on this!

Week 3: Countdown to Dreamforce. Dreamforce is exciting! The people, the energy, the new products and offerings. How do you ensure you get the most out of your Dreamforce Experience? This week we want to offer Dreamforce Tips for novice and returning attendees. Comment Below any other tips! ? ?? Wear Comfortable Shoes - There is a lot of walking and SF is known for it's hills ?? ?? Carry Water and Snacks - The day can feel long and you want to keep energy up ?? Bring a notebook or tablet to take notes. Your mind will be swimming with new information and tips you will want to jot down ?? Don't overfill your schedule - Pick your top AM / PM sessions and map out how far away they are to one another ahead of time. Sessions could be spread out and you want to leave ample time to get to your top sessions. Build in breaks or time to explore the expos ?? Save space in your bag if you plan to bring home SWAG! ?? Look at a map ahead of time to know where your sessions / meetings are. If possible, go early to get familiar with navigation. ???? Set a networking goal. Remember - quality over quantity! Set a goal for your number of meaningful connections and follow-up in the days after the event. ?? Have fun! Dreamforce is a time to celebrate the ecosystem that we are a part of. Take time to appreciate the positive impact you are having on your company, your clients, your partners, and your world.
