Welcome back, Axiom Mission 3 crew! ?? BioIntelliSense is proud to play a small part in critical research to understand human health in space. After 18 days aboard the #ISS conducting scientific experiments and technology demonstrations, the #AX3 crew members are now under continuous monitoring for three days using the BioButton? multi-parameter wearable. Researchers will collect and analyze multi-parameter data, comparing the results with measurements collected with the BioButton before liftoff, to gain unprecedented insights into how the human body responds to being in space. This research is part of a larger initiative of the Translational Research Institute for Space Health (TRISH) which aims to grow our understanding of human physiology in space as commercial spaceflight expands. ? ???? Dear connections, Excited to share that I am heading to Milan, Italy ???? this week to attend the 22nd Space Generation Congress and the 75th International Astronautical Congress. ??? At IAC, I’ll be presenting two papers that focus on the application of machine learning for spacecraft guidance: 1. "Robust Autonomous Rendezvous, Docking and Formation Control of Electric Low-Thrust Chaser Spacecraft: A Reinforcement Learning Approach" - this paper discusses how reinforcement learning can be applied for the near-range rendezvous guidance of two electric satellites in orbit. 2. "Optimal Far-Range Rendezvous Trajectory Design of Low-Thrust Electric Propulsion Spacecraft using Deep Reinforcement Learning" - this paper is an extension of the previous paper and discusses how optimal rendezvous from a farther distance may be achieved. ?? ?? Our Leopard DPU is going to?ISS! We're proud to announce that our experiment,' LeopardISS,' will be part of the Polish mission to the International Space Station scheduled for early 2025. This means that our Leopard Data Processing Unit (DPU) will operate directly from the ISS, testing AI and machine learning algorithms in real space conditions. The Leopard DPU's role is to enhance edge computing capabilities and help establish space-based data centers by facilitating in-orbit autonomous data processing. This will benefit not only our ongoing research but also provide a platform for global scientists, entrepreneurs, and students to validate their space-bound technologies without the need for satellite launches. In collaboration with Politechnika Poznańska, the first phase?on?the ISS will focus on developing 3D image mapping tools, potentially practical for future planetary rovers. Following this, selected partners can run their algorithms on the Leopard DPU, assessing effectiveness directly in orbit. On-board the ISS, the LeopardISS will be hosted inside the ICE Cubes Facility, operated by the ICE Cubes Service. How cool is that?!
