In March 2003, I made the biggest decision of my career by quitting my current job along with the security of a steady wage and decided to start our own construction firm along with Tony Rogan and Richard Porter. 21 years later, I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve built.??? Nu Construction began as a leap of faith, but it’s grown into something far greater than we ever imagined. We’re not just a business—we’re a team of around 30 incredible people who share the same dedication and passion for delighting our clients on their commercial, educational and industrial construction projects. Most of our team have been with us for a number of years, and our high retention rate is something we are especially proud of! If I’ve learned anything over these two decades, it’s this: having the right team is everything.? You need people who care as much as you do, who share your vision, and who are willing to go above and beyond to make it a reality. Especially in construction. I’ve been lucky enough to see this firsthand. Over the years, we’ve gained new directors in Mick McAuliffe—, Matthew Crowther MRICS MCIOB, Mark Elsom and Thomas Smith —who’ve strengthened our leadership team and pushed us to new heights. Their commitment reminds me every day that building the right team is the foundation of every success story. Looking back, I’m grateful for every risk we took and every lesson we learned along the way.? Consulting firm?Guidehouse?and two other tenants have signed deals at?RXR’s?75 Rockefeller Plaza. In the biggest deal, Guidehouse signed a 10-year lease to relocate from?685 Third Avenue?and occupy 45,125 square feet on the ninth and 10th floors of 75 Rock.
