Great to see a couple of the many amazing IUSD programs "spotlighted" in KTLA's School Spirit Spotlight segment. These programs demonstrate the powerful impact academic programs can have when you integrate academic disciplines, as in the case of Career Technical Education (CTE) and the Arts. #ctemonth #cte #WHS

We closed last week with great news regarding a bus route, let's keep that trend up! Have you heard about the great performance improvements that Glenwood Springs Elementary has lead? The most-improved school, primarily based on student growth year over year, was GSES, which jumped two levels from being on a “Turnaround” plan with the state last year to an “Improvement” plan this year. From 2022-2024 CAEL worked with four postsecondary institutions in Texas on improving outcomes for adult and Latino adult learners. Now, the findings from our independent evaluator Ithaka S+R are out! Spoiler alert: all institutions made significant progress in their areas of focus, and many overall lessons emerged that can be applied to any institution interested in pursuing similar goals, including: ?? Use data to build a business case for developing an intentional strategy for targeting and supporting adult learners ???? Adult learners themselves are valuable partners in identifying strategies for improvement ??
