Two Weeks Too Long: Mark's Dream on Hold It's been two weeks since school started, and Mark sits at home, filled with uncertainty and a heavy heart. ?? School fees arrears stand between him and his education, his dream of becoming a carpenter fading with each passing day. Mark isn't alone. Many children at Another Hope Children's Ministries share his struggle, their futures hanging in the balance due to financial constraints. We refuse to let their dreams be shattered. One of our PBA members - #givingback #feedthehungry What is the BCTCares Foundation PACK THE 'PACK program? While difficult to believe, there is a great need in our local communities regarding food-insecure families. This affects children especially hard. Outside of school, many of our local children do not have access to food, jeopardizing their immediate health and long-term mental development. The BCTCares Foundation wants to help provide funds for the necessary food to feed these children during Summer break and school-year weekends. Due to inflationary times, the cost to fill one backpack has risen significantly. Your help is needed even more this year. Our four backpack charity partners find their greatest need is during Summer months due to depleted inventories. This is why Pack the 'Pack runs during July and August each year, to help replenish their food inventories to serve summer break needs as well as stocking up for Fall terms. https://lnkd.in/e9p8RrFF

EDvance College provides a phenomenal model of learning through work for early childhood educators. Learners earn college credit toward their degrees for their work caring for children in their local licensed ECE programs, and use their workplaces to practice the skills they learn in the classroom. The program is designed to support economic mobility for ECE professionals by validating and growing the knowledge they come with.
