I'm feeling the weight of history today. What about you? In this blog post, I explore how the overlap of Inauguration Day and Martin Luther King Jr. Day, is an opportunity to ground ourselves in the lessons of the past and recommit to Dr. King's goal of the Beloved Community. What I hope you take away from reading: - The Beloved Community is not just an abstract ideal, it's a goal we must commit to and can achieve together - Building the Beloved Community will involve empowering young people as future leaders and changemakers - Supporting long-term collaboration and investing in systems change is necessary to ensure everyone can enjoy a world where everyone can thrive regardless of race, gender, income, or neighborhood As we face these challenging times, let's hold onto Dr. King's vision as our North Star.
