Last week, I was thrilled to join Wilson Gabbard, Daniel Kuzmanovich and Lori Ferguson on a panel at the NCQA 2024 Health Innovation Summit. Here are the key points I shared: ? Aledade, Inc. has a?proven approach for succeeding in quality programs: automate as much as possible, empower practices with data and workflows, and centralize activities to go the last mile. It's all about working smarter, not harder. ? Parsimonious measures are key - controlling cost and utilization IS a quality measure. Let's focus on what matters. ? Employers, it's time to step up as rational actors in the health care game. The ball is in your court. ? The EHR isn't the endgame for quality improvement and measurement. The real magic happens in the layer above - networks, Aledade, QHIN, TEFCA. That's where the future lies. Case in point: Our 10-year ACO in Delaware has primary care physicians earning more through value-based care than fee-for-service. A testament to the power of innovation and collaboration!

What started as a pipe dream of building the first medical grade drug- and hormone-free solution for menstrual cognitive and physical symptoms 3 years ago is now a reality in the hands of hundreds of early adopters of Nettle. Thrilled to be chosen to present our work as one of the top 12 global medical innovators at MEDICA in Düsseldorf later today. ?? In a small company, we as founders wear many hats. One of mine is customer support, through which I have now handled thousands (!!!) of messages from current and future customers across the world, learning about women's pain points, desperation, shame and lack of support in both medical and work environments. I am so proud that our work is highlighted on the global stage - I know the hope of innovation, research and solutions keeps so many women -and increasingly men- fighting for a better future for themselves and their daughters. I have also now witnessed time and time again how often women's PMS and period pain is gaslit and dismissed by doctors (not even being noted in their medical history when they voice complaints) and employers (not being considered a legitimate reason for work from home to be accommodated even when symptoms are debilitating), especially if it cannot be linked to an underlying "serious" condition (many of which are already under-diagnosed!). This week, I had the opportunity to attend the Healthcare Internet Conference in Austin! The?event brought together healthcare marketing thought leaders from around the country. This was PDi's first time attending this conference, and I had the best time networking with HCIC veterans and learning more about the healthcare marketing world.
