Tell us, what made you join the Black@INBOUND Community? When asked what drew me to the Black@INBOUND community, Maya Angelou's words echo in my mind: "In order to be a mentor and an effective one, one must care." For me, joining Black@INBOUND was a natural extension of my commitment to caring, compassion, and driving change. It all began back in 2019 at HubSpot's annual Inbound Conference, where I first encountered the vibrant Black@INBOUND family. As a business owner of Howl Marketing, a B2B Growth Agency, my mission has been clear: to uplift Black and Brown businesses and spaces where we are celebrated. Communities like Black@INBOUND offer more than just networking; they provide a vital platform for voices to be heard beyond their borders. Howl Marketing and Black@INBOUND are driven by the same purpose: creating a space where individuals from similar backgrounds could thrive, connect, and grow. I wanted to celebrate for a minute. Celebrate the clients halfway through the first month of our new "Pathway To Influence." I know we have nailed our new process, which is the best thing we have done. Finally, we have cracked the code. There were times in the last 10 years of being online I wanted to throw in the towel, and there were times when we almost did, but there was a tiny part of me that did not want to. I am not sure whether it is my stubborn Tauren nature or unwavering tenacity. But that's what makes us different. So many come and go and do the next big thing because it is "on trend." We've remained true to our core strengths and constantly strived to evolve. Our focus has always been on how we can enhance our services, inspire our clients, and provide them with the support they need in ways we rarely see or have experienced. Our next group will be next month, so if you want clear, tangible help stretching your thinking, creating a brand you are proud of with all the assets, and systemising your growth, reach out. Our clients range from start-ups to 7 figures. The thing they all have in common is that they have lost their edge in marketing. They want to reinvent their brand, have no bottlenecks with systems that don't cost the earth and make a big global impact. Celebrate! ?? Celebrate! ?? Celebrate! ?? This week we celebrate our freedom. And it is also a good reminder for us to celebrate our small businesses. Celebrating can be easy to forget, but it is so important. Even the smallest of things. It might be showing up when you really don't want to. It could be a new customer that found you. Or maybe it is that you had coffee with a friend. Celebrating our successes, reminds us how far we've come. Try writing down your celebrations. You can write them in a notebook. Or you can put them on pieces of paper and keep them in a jar. Whatever works for you. Periodically go back and read them. They are a great reminder of how far you've come. I know there are days running my business that I feel like I'm treading water and getting nowhere. But, when I look at my celebrations...I'm always amazed at what I've accomplished. So celebrate! Celebrate you. Celebrate your business. Celebrate everything you've accomplished!
