At the Hungulf Expo and Conference, #Hungary's premier and highest quality expo venue, 90 carefully selected Hungarian manufacturers, startups, established companies, producers, and developers will present their products and services to business professionals from the Gulf countries. Among the Hungarian companies participating, the majority are beekeepers, while others include a wide range of food producers and mineral water bottlers. Additionally, a significant number of exhibitors come from the IT sector, featuring software developers and researchers. There also will be a conference for beekeepers focusing on high-quality Hungarian honey at our venue. The event will feature participation from Members of the European Parliament (MEPs). We have invited the ambassadors from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar to attend. We also expect representatives from Bahrain, Oman, and Kuwait to join us. Furthermore, prominent economic leaders and experienced trade professionals from the region have been invited, with some set to deliver presentations during the conference that will run concurrently with the exhibition. Moderated by TFWA Conference Director Michele Miranda and author & venture capitalist Azran Osman-Rani (former CEO at AirAsia X), 2024?TFWA Asia Pacific Conference & Exhibition officially kicked off with day one’s morning conference session. “This conference will cover critical topics that will shape our industry in the years to come,” Miranda stated. TFWA President Erik Juul-Mortensen delivered an opening address. This will be his final show in the role of President of the association, which is celebrating its 40th?anniversary this year. While the rate of recovery continues to vary widely across the region, he said China remains a “powerhouse.” This is despite the crackdown on the Daigou market (particularly in Korea) and evolving travel retail expectations that are proving harder to raise spend per head. ForwardKeys reported that China was up on traffic bookings in Q1 2024 (down 32% vs. 2019). In contrast, duty free sales in Hainan rose over 25% last year, measured against visitor growth of about 60% which equates to lower spending. He also cited the cruise industry as achieving impressive growth at a modern rate and two topics of concern in the channel based on collaboration: the lack of accessibility of market data and the lack of coherence among sustainability practices. Aquatech China, 2024 (Shanghai): visa or no visa? Does anyone know whether China's 144-hour visa-free transit policy applies to the Aquatech trade show? It's not mentioned in the travel section of the Aquatech web site (https://lnkd.in/e7Jg4aFw), so maybe it isn't valid. It's kind of important to know this before getting on the plane.

During yesterday’s (23 January) EXSA Conference, SAACI CEO Glenton De Kock joined a panel discussion alongside industry leaders to share the association’s goals for 2025 and explore opportunities for collaboration to strengthen the MICE sector. De Kock highlighted several key initiatives SAACI is prioritising this year, including: ? Launching the MeetIQ Industry Data Project to provide members with actionable insights into market trends and opportunities. ? Finalising the National Meetings and Events Strategy in collaboration with South African Tourism and SANCB. ? Expanding international platforms through partnerships to facilitate member participation in global trade shows, forums, and workshops. But this year, it got significantly easier thanks to Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic and their pro-export programme, where they covered about 50% of our travel expenses for trade shows. And that makes a big difference! I think this is a great example of meaningful government incentive - focused, well-defined, aimed at small companies?? ?? ???? ??. We are proud to represent European and Czech industry overseas as well as close to home ????????! And a part of the funds we save is re-invested to sponsoring these wonderful events, so everybody wins ?? . We are excited to share key findings from a recent survey conducted among 3,000 visitors at Germany's international trade fair hubs. The results are compelling: ?? Key Highlights: Trade fairs are indispensable industry gatherings, enabling connections that cannot be achieved with the same quality digitally. They help avoid additional business trips, contributing to efficient and sustainable travel. The findings also highlight opportunities for improving trade fair planning and ecological travel logistics. ?? This Tuesday our Ask me Anything session focused on Internationalisation and commercialisation to the USA and Asia with the EIC partners Branch Unlimited, Global Business Inroads (GBI), Global Kinetics, ISE Accelerator & Venture Capital Firm and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. The session was attended by almost 100 EIC beneficiaries who posed questions to these partners to find out more about the services available at the EIC Service Catalogue that can help them expand to new markets. ? The session also counted on the INNOVA S.r.l. Antonio Zangrilli and María Cristina Chumacero shared information about the EIC ACCESS +, a new co-financing scheme to enable #EUeic beneficiaries and Seal of Excellence holders to access services from the EIC Service Catalogue.
