I’m exhilarated to share that I will be chairing the 3rd National Student Entrepreneurship Conference 2024, set to bring together aspiring student entrepreneurs from across the nation. This year’s theme, “Fostering the Culture of Job Creation and Economic Empowerment Among the Future Generation of Graduates,” aligns with the urgent need to equip students and young people with the skills and mindset to create their own opportunities in today’s world. The role of education should extend beyond merely teaching content to equipping students and young people with the skills needed to thrive in the 21st century. It should focus on empowering them to reposition themselves in areas such as public speaking, business, technology, innovation, creativity, and most importantly, entrepreneurship, which has become the driving force of today’s economy. Education must inspire a mindset of adaptability, critical thinking, and proactive engagement in these key areas to prepare the next generation for the dynamic and evolving global landscape. At this conference, we’ll dive the required transformative forces, with a focus on entrepreneurship as a key driver of economic growth and personal empowerment. SL Student Entrepreneurs Network (SEN-SL), is a platform designed to inspire, educate, and empower the next generation of leaders, innovators, and job creators. I’m excited to be part of this impactful journey and look forward to an auspicious event! Sarah Kamara let’s do this! #Entrepreneurship #YouthEmpowerment #Innovation #JobCreation #NSC2024 #SENSL #Chairperson #Host

Are we losing out on our Next Generation of Innovators in classrooms? "The next big idea is just waiting to be discovered by a student". Recently, I led an interactive workshop on 'Entrepreneurship and Startups' for the talented students of Stratford Public School. The session focused on generating, nurturing startup ideas, and validating them systematically. Witnessing the students tackle real-world challenges with creative solutions was truly inspiring. Their enthusiasm and fresh perspectives highlighted the importance of nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit in young minds. Key takeaways: - Students showcase incredible creativity and problem-solving skills. - Young minds bring fresh, unique ideas to the table. - Supporting young entrepreneurs today paves the way for a better future for all. - The younger generation is passionate about sustainability and building impactful businesses. - Entrepreneurship deserves a spot in the School curriculum. These students are our future innovators and leaders! Let's create environments that foster creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. #Entrepreneurship #Innovation #YouthEmpowerment #FutureLeaders #Education #Schoolworkshop #Workshops

Encouraging students to pursue entrepreneurship can have a transformative impact on their futures and society. Entrepreneurship fosters creativity, resilience, and problem-solving skills, essential for navigating today's dynamic world. By starting their ventures, students learn practical business skills, from financial management to marketing, which are valuable regardless of their career paths. Additionally, student entrepreneurs can drive innovation, creating new products and services that address unmet needs. Schools and universities should support these endeavors by providing resources, mentorship, and opportunities to experiment and grow, helping students to not only envision but also realize their entrepreneurial aspirations #snsinstitutions #snsdesignthinkers #designthinking

One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned as an entrepreneur is the importance of being open to change and always ready to pivot. Over the past year, I kept a running list of things that went wrong. However, I’ve recently rebranded this list to something more positive: things I can improve on for the future. This list of learnings included everything from application logistics, to program duration, to content delivery. Each challenge was a stepping stone, guiding me to refine and enhance our offerings. I’ve taken these learnings and applied them to our next program – the newly rebranded Business Fellowship! In partnership with BobaTalks this 3-week micro-MBA for high school female-identifying students is designed to be more interactive and comprehensive than ever. Excited to implement these changes and see the positive impact! Don’t forget to apply (https://lnkd.in/gH-PAwCY) if you’re interested or know someone who might be! #BusinessFellowship #ThinkHers #BobaTalks #Entrepreneurship #WomenInBusiness
