KUDOS! To GBC portfolio company, Aclima, Inc. for being selected by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) to measure air quality and pollutants along public roads throughout the state. The $27 million contract awarded to Aclima will enable the company and its partners to provide detailed data about the sources and levels of harmful greenhouse gas emissions and other air pollutants, especially in disadvantaged communities where environmental, economic, and health inequities are endemic. The data will allow the state and public-private partnerships to enact new policies and programs to improve air quality for all Californians. "As a native Californian directly impacted by air pollution, this initiative is as personal as it is profound," stated Aclima co-founder and CEO Davida Herzl.
