?? Field Service Update: Addressing Clogging Issues in the DFW Metroplex ?? Earlier this month, our #fieldservice crew at Smith Pump Company were in the DFW metroplex, pulling four vertical #motors and four dry-pit solids handling #sewagepumps. These pumps have been in service for decades but have recently faced chronic clogging issues, mainly due to baby wipes. More than likely wear ring clearances are likely gone, leading to recirculation in the volute and contributing to the clogging. Knowing these pumps haven't been serviced in many years, we're taking them to our Fort Worth repair center. There, they will be torn down and repaired back to OEM specifications.
