On today’s episode of the plastics industry greenwashing????take a look at this video from Beyond Plastics which explains how the plastic industry is using Gen Z’s favourite social media app, TikTok, to spread misinformation about the sustainability of plastic. ? ‘Positively PET’ TikTok ads are falsely promoting PET plastic as eco-friendly. Which is especially scary when you take into account the Daily Mail’s findings that Generation Z are twice as likely to get their news from?TikTok?than the?BBC. ?
