INOX has just released an update for our Smart App for locks and access controls. This latest version offers a smoother, faster, and more reliable experience with several enhancements and new features. Here are a couple of new features: Voice Control - The latest IST, ISC, and ISD models now support voice audio control in the device settings function. You can easily toggle Voice Audio on or off and switch the voice language between English and Spanish in the App. Door Position Sensors - The App now includes a Door Position Sensor (DPS) toggle. When a Door Position Sensor is installed and enabled, these sensors prevent the deadbolt from autolocking when the door is open. Additionally, you can set up alerts to notify you if the door remains open for longer than a specified duration, up to12 hours. "Dumb" phones are awesome for breaking from our virtual lives. However, because they don't necessarily need to be useless nor "dumb" compared to the typical smartphone, I have been working on a side project to bring Home Assistant to KaiOS devices. This simple app allows some control over entities through the HA RestAPI, with a minimal UI that reflects state updates in real-time. With this, I can open/close my garage door, turn on/off lights, and add as much control as the Home Assistant API and my will to code some Typescript allows :p. It's a great way to further decrease my smartphone "dependence". There is a demo video below with a TTfone where I'm toggling a garage light's state by clicking on the Numpad 2 while confirming an update occurs on the native Home Assistant Web UI. Besides, doing the toggle through the website results in the KaiOS app updating its state view (from "on" to "off" and vice-versa).
