Hi, We purchased a home in Clermont, Florida from Dream Finder four months ago. Last month, Hurricane Milton, a Category 1 storm in the Clermont area, caused severe damage to our roof. Considering the mild nature of the storm here, I didn't expect such poor quality from Dream Finder's construction. According to the Florida Building Code, new homes in coastal areas must withstand Category 5 hurricanes and Category 3 in inland areas. Hurricane Milton hit Florida’s coast as a Category 3 hurricane and weakened to Category 1 near Clermont. The severe damage to our roof indicates that the materials or installation did not comply with the Florida Building Code. We have questioned Dream Finder’s customer care department on why our roof sustained such extensive damage while neighboring homes remained unaffected. As educated individuals, we cannot accept their explanation of "Only God knows why." The Law of Physics, created by God, governs wind behavior impartially; it doesn't target specific homes but rather exposes construction defects and weaknesses.

Shoutout to all working parents, and in particular single working parents.... If you are hiring during this summer break - please can I ask a favour? Be patient / understanding with any candidate who are interviewing..... ? They may be the most prepared candidates ever, but 10 mins before the call one of their kids might draw all over their brothers face with nail polish or pour a drink all over the laptop/pc... ? They may need to change the interview time / day at short notice - don't ask why, just let them. ? During the interview their kids might start world war 3 in the background. ? They may get a call from the holiday camp and have to leave the call early. For my new connections - A little bit about me! ?? As I have made quite a few connections recently, I thought it would be worth introducing myself properly for those of you who don't know much about me. I co-own CRS Professionals with my husband Tom Herriotts. It's a real family business with my sister Simone Bacciocchi also heading up our Civil & Structural division. Most importantly, I'm mom to 3 kids, Archie, Ella & Lola who are my world and my motivation for everything I do. ?? I started my career as an M&E recruiter in then Midlands 23 years ago! How that time has flown! For 23 years I have focused on working with some amazing M&E clients and some really talented professionals. Many of those clients & candidates I still work with today and some I even consider as friends. Tom and I have had our own business now for 13 years and we love what we do. The role is supposed to be 100% desk-based, right in the city—just what I wanted. ?? After jumping through hoops with 3 interviews and battling through an intense 12-hour case study (yes, 12 hours!), I made it to the final round last week. I left that interview feeling on top of the world, totally expecting an offer. But then, today—Monday gut-check time—I get an email from the Chief of Staff. The message mentioned that they have “a greater need for the position in Stamford, CT.” ?? They went on to ask if I’d be open to relocating if the Stamford option came through. Honestly, I couldn’t help but laugh when I read that! How does this even happen? There wasn’t a peep about Connecticut in any of my four interviews.
