??? Are you ready for more extreme weather? ?? According to a survey we conducted in Sweden, only 3 out of 10 homeowners have considered how to protect their homes during severe weather. ?? That’s why we want to help prevent damage and climate-related risks by testing and exploring the warning systems of the future. ?? Together with experts, we’ve developed the “Climate Alarm,” which is now being tested in a family’s home in Sweden. A big thank you to everyone involved in the project. If you don't live in Suffolk you may not be aware of the devastation the drive for "green" energy is going to cause on our countryside. Suffolk is a beautiful rural county, full of areas of outstanding national beauty, fields and untouched nature. This will all change if things go to current plan. We will have huge swathes of the countryside turned into industrial sites - including next to my little village. Centuries old trees will need to be felled just to build the roads to access these rural and inaccessible sites. Fragile ecospheres will be destroyed. Despite talks of the need to be self-sufficient in food production another impact of the drive for "green" energy will be the removal of some of the UK's most productive farm land - all for "green" energy. There are alternatives using brown field sites - but this will cost more. As a private company National Grid is not interested in protecting our countryside at the cost of its profits. At a time when the nature is struggling we must do all we can to protect what precious little is left of the countryside in this country. "Green" energy is not green if it leads to the destruction of pristine countryside and further reduces biodiversity. I will share more about all of this and what you can do to help.
