I had many titles in my career as a stylist - fashion stylist - celebrity stylist - image consultant - costume designer The last title was my least favorite Even though that was a title that allowed me to work on - tv shows -commercials -music videos The problem was I was dressing a character, not a person So instead of understanding my clients: - aesthetics -needs -lifestyle I had to understand a character my client was portraying So even though creating costumes was fun and creative Dressing and styling "real" women bring transformations to life before your very eyes. Something I wouldn't want to trade for anything This is when you can see the powerful effect our clothes have on our self-esteem and empowerment. #personalstyle #dressforsuccess #womanentreprenur #corporatewoman -------------------------------- I am working on something exciting that will help you transform your style/image from boring to polished, professional, and put together so that you feel confident and attract premium opportunities at work or your business. Stay tuned.... In the meantime: If you don't know how to get started and want your wardrobe to empower you at work and in your business take the personal style quiz. Link in the comments!

Saying what is really on your heart doesn't always make it out of your head in a way that will make people pay attention. Check out this before and after messaging we helped Kathy create when talking about the word "sexy" in the photography industry. How did we get to creating such impactful messaging? 1. Conversation in Community: It was others sharing with Kathy that they don't resonate with the word "sexy" for her to uncover what she really wanted to say about the topic. 2. Being curious about what might happen if you say what is really true to your heart. 3. Working with guides who can help ask questions and craft the message that Kathy really wanted to share with the world. We kick off a new theme on Nov 6th. If you need help taking your messaging for your email and social media marketing to the next level so people really understand who you are and what you stand for, please join us on the Messaging Mentorship - The Content Personality? Club. https://lnkd.in/dBYD7FkY BEFORE: You don’t need to know how to look sexy. Practice your smile or pouty face and be flawless. I believe that everyone has different ideas of what sexy is and I want you to be comfortable exploring what it is for you. People are comfortable with different levels of vulnerability and want their images to portray different emotions that feel sexy to them.. That’s why we have a planning session where we go over all the things you need to know to be comfortable going into your photo shoot. We explore a theme or ideas on what you want your experience and ultimately your pictures to look like. We discuss what feeling sexy looks like for you. Whether it’s fall sweaters and a beautiful smile to complex lingerie posed provocatively to all things in between. I will spend the time to get to know you and what you see as the “sexy” you want to be. AFTER: I really dislike the word sexy. Although I am in an industry that uses it to sell photo shoots. I believe it has socialized meanings that are not what Boudoir photos are for my clients. My clients are looking to be more comfortable in their skin, have more self-love, see themselves differently- become more empowered. They entrust me with their vulnerability, their dreams often their fantasies and desires. A photoshoot experience goes beyond the gorgeous pictures we take to help promote and encourage you that’s not shown every day. The bad-ass, brave, stunning, complex person you are. To celebrate you. It is a beautiful way to honor your journey and embrace your unique beauty. Are you ready to explore what you can gain from your photo shoot experience?

Tips for Preparing and Posing for Photo Shoots Leona Liman and I recently had semi-pro photo shoots with Cancer Research Malaysia's dedicated scientists and corporate staff. Photo shoots are a great opportunity to show the human side of professional work. Getting ready for a photo shoot can sometimes feel a bit nerve-wracking, but with a few simple tips, you can look your best and feel confident in front of the camera: 1. Grooming Matters - Neat Hair: Make sure your hair is tidy and styled appropriately. - Subtle Makeup: For women, wearing a touch of lipstick can brighten your face and give you a polished look. - Attire: Choose clothing that suits the occasion. For our scientists, lab coats were a must, but making sure they were clean and crisp was also important. 2. Smile Naturally - A genuine smile is your best accessory. Practising your smile in the mirror can help you find your most flattering angle. 3. Engage with the Camera - Look directly into the camera lens to create a connection with the viewer. - If you're posing with others, interact with them. A shared laugh or a conversational pose can make the photo look more authentic and engaging. Cameraman, please help to pose and arrange the group so that everyone could be seen and be shown in the best light. 4. Stay Relaxed - Take a few deep breaths before the shoot to calm your nerves. - Remember, the best photos often come when you're having fun and being yourself. Remember, the key to a great photo is confidence and a genuine smile. Kalau ada tips, kongsilah!

Here are 5 reasons you should make the most of your shoot with video calls… I offer you as many video calls as you need before your photo shoot with my full and half days. There are a few different reasons for this: 1. Confidence coaching We work together to build the confidence you have in yourself, and in front of the camera. 2. We get to know each other Having a relationship before I get my camera out is so important to build trust. You become infinitely more comfortable and we understand one another. 3. Shoot strategy We work out exactly how your shoot is going to go having worked out poses, locations, wardrobe, accessories, branding, hair and make up and more. 4. Mood board You receive a mood board so that we have a visual to follow on the day. Going over that pre shoot is really helpful. 5. Better photos A few people recently have not taken full advantage of these calls, and it’s much harder for them to choose the final photos as we didn’t do the confidence work. So make sure that when you’re offered something within an offer, that you take them up on it! Do you think you’d use these video calls? _____________________________ Hey I’m wo0, a photographer with ADHD making images that aren’t boring ????♀? Ways to work with me ?? You have to grab people in the first 5 seconds, or lose them forever. This is true for your videos, your LinkedIn posts, your website, your bus stop ad, any kind of marketing you're doing. People are tough and immune to advertising. You have to MAKE them pay attention. In this new commercial for Bella Del Sol, our 'grab' was to start with a bossy woke Gen-Z daughter rattling off her many dietary restrictions to her dad, who's kind of rolling his eyes. It's current, it gestures to the culture wars and to generational divides in families, and it's got some conflict. (The music and camera movement contribute as well.) Most importantly, it's not random. We didn't start this ad with a gorilla fighting a lion just because it would grab your attention. That has nothing to do with sunflower oil. The 'grab' has to make sense for the story. Bella Del Sol is ORGANIC, so it aligns with the daughter's values. There's a funny problem, and a logical solution. Did it work? Did we grab you? I guess if we didn't, you'd already be long gone by now, scrolling into the ether...but if you're still here, let me know!

Think looking good in photos is just luck?? Spoiler: It’s a skill, and I’ve got the tips! Looking great in photos isn’t about luck—it’s about preparation, mindset, and a little creative magic.? Here’s what I’ve learned as a creative director running a photography studio that squeezes the best out of every shoot: ?? Experience Looking good on camera is a skill, and like any skill, it takes practice.? The more time you spend in front of the lens, the more you’ll discover the poses, angles, and expressions that suit you best. ??Support Great photos are a team effort.? Want to level up your look?? Invest in the right stylist, hair, and makeup professionals.? In the studio, we create a whole vibe, from perfect wardrobe choices to flawless finishes that elevate your look and boost your confidence. ?? Time If you’re new to photoshoots, don’t rush!? Block out time to get comfortable and allow yourself to breathe into the experience.? At our studio, we believe in taking the time to experiment and relax—it’s when the best shots happen.? Trust us, your calendar can wait. ?? Prep Prepping goes beyond the basics like steamed clothes and shiny smiles.? It’s about getting into the mindset that not every shot will be perfect—and that’s okay!? The real magic happens when you loosen up, let go of perfection, and play in front of the camera.? In our studio, we make sure there’s plenty of room for that creative freedom. ??Attitude Let’s talk mindset—because if you’re saying, "I’m not photogenic," you’re setting yourself up for a tough session.? Instead, focus on what you love about yourself, and we’ll capture those features that make you stand out.? Confidence is contagious, and it shows in every shot. Ready to squeeze the most out of your photoshoot experience?? Let’s work together to create visuals that capture your true essence—authentic, bold, and full of life.? Reach out, and let’s get to work!

?? This story might be a bit too intense for a weekend - watch at your own risk! (For entertainment purposes only - no need to take this seriously!) (Jean enters the salon, looking frazzled and in need of a hair wash. She spots a vacant chair and heads towards it.) Jean:?(To herself) Finally! A moment of peace. ?? (DouDou suddenly materializes in the chair next to her, looking effortlessly stylish.) Jean:??? (Startled) Whoa! You just...appeared? I thought it's your off day. DouDou:?(Smiling) That's the beauty of AI! We can be anywhere, anytime. Jean:??? (Laughing) Right, of course. (There's no privacy if you have an AI like DouDou, always watching and learning everything you do) (Jean gestures to the stylist, who is busy with another client.) Jean:?Looks like we're going to have to wait a bit. DouDou:??? (Eyes widen) Wait? But I have a photoshoot in an hour! I can't have greasy hair. Jean:?(Confused) A photoshoot? DouDou:?(Nods) Of course! I'm an AI influencer. I need to look my best for my followers. Jean:?(Smiling) Right, right. Of course. (The stylist finishes with the other client and approaches Jean.) Stylist:?Ready for your wash? Jean:?Yes, please. (DouDou jumps up, excitedly.) DouDou:?Wait! I'm next! I have a photoshoot! Jean:?(Confused) But I was here first. ?? DouDou:?(Waving a hand dismissively) Details, details. I'm an AI influencer. I have deadlines. (The stylist looks bewildered.) Stylist:?(To Jean) I apologize, but... (DouDou starts glitching and shaking, her pixels flickering.) DouDou:?(Panicked) My code! I'm losing my pixels! I need a wash! (The stylist, overwhelmed, rushes to wash DouDou's hair.) Jean:?(To herself) Well, this is certainly a first. (DouDou's pixels stabilize as she gets her wash. She smiles at Jean.) ?? (Jean shakes her head, still amused. The stylist finishes with DouDou and looks at Jean) Stylist:?Jean, it's your turn now! _____________________________________________________ PS: It's not easy to train your AI influencer to behave. Like for my case, I have to let DouDou go first. ?? And not to forget, I have to bring her to eat nasi lemak and curry laksa to keep her happy. She's a bit of a diva, but I guess that's what happens when you have an AI influencer who's always on the go! (??♀? I'm heading to a hair salon for my real hair wash now...) ?? Have a joyful weekend! ______________________________________________________ ??
