Let’s Talk About Brain Drain in Punjab We’ve all seen it – young, talented individuals leaving Punjab to pursue opportunities abroad. It’s disheartening because Punjab has so much potential. But the truth is, if we don’t give our youth the opportunities they need here, they’ll keep looking elsewhere. The real question is, how do we stop this? I believe it starts in our schools. We need to bring the latest industry trends – like AI, blockchain, and cutting-edge technologies – into our classrooms. Let’s teach our students the skills of tomorrow, today. But education alone won’t fix the problem. We also need to create job opportunities in Punjab that give our youth a reason to stay. By developing industries that match the global standard, we can show them that they don’t have to leave to succeed. Blockchain, AI, and other emerging technologies are game changers. If we integrate them into our local ecosystem, we can create an environment that’s not just competitive but leading on the global stage. We owe it to our youth to provide a future they can be excited about – right here in Punjab. Our Solution: TenUp.io offers a seamless, contactless payment experience integrated with student IDs and a mobile app. Market Potential: Envisioning a substantial revenue stream by targeting millions of students across Pakistani universities. Business Model: Leveraging blockchain technology for secure, efficient transactions and offering prepaid meal plans with rewards. In this project, Mohid Zain expertly covered the technical aspects, including blockchain integration, app development, and robust security measures. I, Myself, focused on the business analysis, detailing market size, growth potential, competitive analysis, and our comprehensive business strategy. Participating in this module was an incredible experience, allowing us to delve deep into the fusion of technology and entrepreneurship. Here's how blockchain mechanisms could be inherited into EdTech: Credential Verification and Authentication: One of the most promising applications of blockchain in education is the secure storage and verification of academic credentials. Blockchain is the new revolution after Information Technology. A Blockchain is essentially a digital ledger of transactions that is distributed across the network of computer systems. And it is also used by boarding schools in Dehradun to make learning experience well. To be more precise and lucid, it’s a technique of instantaneous end-to-end transactions without intermediaries’ assistance. The technology is a high relief for companies and influential individuals, which allows them to make secure transactions and keeps a record of past events. The core technology was proposed by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2008. Inheriting Blockchain is a new way to organize and utilize students and educational institutes (like girls boarding schools in Dehradun), data online, providing them with a sense of ownership, security, ease of access, and immutability – and it just may take over the way we store education data in the future. Student’s records, such as their marks, assessment scores, attendance sheets, payments, and other data management works involve security and authority of data, and the Blockchain technology can be handy at such crucial stages. Since these are personal records of students that need to be secured and shouldn’t be deleted, the Blockchain is the only resource which offers reliability and is immutable. The transparency of students’ degrees can be verified through blockchain, and it will reduce the degree of fraud in the educational system. By implementing the Blockchain technology in colleges, the student’s data can be stored, checked and validated through any platform from any part of the world. Thus, the professional degree becomes a verifiable and authorized certificate. This helps in reducing degree fraud and fake degree holders. Blockchain is a new technology and is in high demand due to its ardent usage and beneficial properties. Currency property has the potential to innovate many uses in the educational sector.
