?? My Journey with Ashoka to become a Change Maker: Driving Social Impact ?? I am honoured and proud to be part of the Kersia Changemaker network, a global community of individuals committed to creating positive change. We began our journey with the Changemaker programme through Ashoka. This journey has been both inspiring and humbling, teaching me the power of empathy, collaboration, and innovation in driving real-world solutions to some of our most pressing challenges. From supporting education in the community to wellbeing in the workplace, I’ve witnessed firsthand how meaningful change can start with a small spark and grow into a movement when fueled by purpose and collective action. Being part of this programme has strengthened my belief that everyone can be a change maker, no matter how big or small their contributions. Together, we can shape a more just, equitable, and sustainable future. ?? Let’s connect, collaborate, and keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. #Ashoka #Changemaker #SocialImpact #Leadership #Innovation #Purpose
“It's with drops of water that we fill bottles.” Deirdre Forte, HR Manager at Kersia in Ireland, is certain that being a catalyst for change isn't a competition; it's a mindset. It involves small actions – like a smile or a kind word – that can make a big difference. Inspired by her experiences during the COVID pandemic, Deirdre recognized the importance of #empathy and #connection in both personal and professional settings. By creating a more inclusive workplace, Deirdre helps others feel valued and encourages them to take risks without fearing failure. The results speak for themselves: Deirdre's intrapreneurial initiative has led to stronger ties with local schools, mentorship opportunities for students in her company, and a renewed sense of belonging among staff. By investing in the next generation, Deirdre’s commitment to fostering a culture of kindness and inclusivity is a reminder that we can all be #changemakers in our communities, and our workplaces. How do you approach Culture at your firm? ? "Don't leave culture to chance. By default your culture will be terrible because people are dysfunctional." - Shawn Sparks In this clip Shawn Sparks lays out how he, Brad Johnson and the Triad Partners team intentionally approached building culture at their firm. My big takeaways from Triad's culture: ? They don't do events at Triad, they do experiences. ? Families are invited to their experiential meetings. ? They have built loyalty that you don't find many places. From The Resilient Advisor Show #DBDL #culture

? Feeling incredibly grateful for my amazing team at Coastline Equity! ?? Earlier this week, I was knocked out by a nasty flu. In the past, I would have pushed through and kept working, likely delaying my recovery. This time was different. Thanks to our fantastic team, I was able to rest and recover fully. This experience reminded me of a key concept from EOS Worldwide - Delegate and Elevate. By trusting our team with their responsibilities, I could focus on my health without worrying about our operations. It’s all about empowering our team members to take ownership and thrive. ?? Delegate and Elevate is not just a tool you use once and forget about; it becomes a game-changer when a company's leadership revisits the tool each quarter. It ensures that everyone knows their roles, and we can all focus on what we do best. It’s about building trust and fostering a culture of accountability. To my exceptional team: Thank you for your unwavering support and for keeping everything running smoothly. Your efficiency and dedication are the bedrock of our success. ?? This experience has reinforced the importance of effective delegation and having a dependable team. Together, we’re setting new standards in property management and building a thriving community. ?? ?? How do you ensure effective delegation in your organization? Share your tips and experiences below! ?? #Gratitude #Teamwork #Leadership #EOS #DelegateAndElevate #PropertyManagement #CoastlineEquity #TeamExcellence

If I were giving advice, even though nobody asked for it…on 3 ways to give back to the communities that have made our companies so great, I would: 1) Let your team pick their passions for service and support them as they dive deeply into causes that provide for their own growth as humans, citizens, and teammates. 2) Encourage team leaders to provide the flexibility needed for community involvement, as that involvement takes on many different looks as the team members gets embedded into a cause. 3) As the CEO, and the tone setter for the organization, achnlowledge that one person’s passion may differ completely from another’s….and that is ok Happy Sunday.

The Power of "Yes": Transforming Companies into Thriving Communities In today’s increasingly digital world, the art of building meaningful workplace communities is more essential than ever. Bonin Bough, a marketing legend and true advocate for community, has built his career creating spaces where employees, customers, and communities feel genuinely connected. I first met Bonin at an event at Spring Place, a creative hub in New York, and his energy and commitment to community-building left a lasting impression on me. One of Bonin’s core beliefs is simple yet profound: “No is easy. Yes is hard.” It’s a mantra that champions creativity and risk-taking as the path to impactful, memorable connections. At Marco, we believe in the power of “yes” to foster stronger connections and communities within companies. Today, the question is: How can you say “yes” to inspire a culture of connection in your workplace?

The Power of "Yes": Turning Companies into Thriving Communities The evolving art of building meaningful workplace communities is more important than ever in an increasingly digital world. Bonin Bough is a marketing legend and community advocate. Throughout his career, he's created spaces where employees, customers, and communities feel truly connected. I first met Bonin at an event at Spring Place, a community hub in New York, and was blown away by his creativity and charisma. Bonin Bough has a mantra: “No is easy. Yes is hard.” This approach encourages creativity and risk-taking as the path to meaningful engagement. In his career, Bonin turned brands like Sour Patch Kids and PepsiCo into community hubs by saying “yes” to ideas that seemed wild but ultimately built unforgettable connections. Take, for instance, his project for Stride Gum. Bonin led one of the boldest stunts in marketing history by coordinating a 25,000-foot skydive without a parachute or wingsuit ??. More than just a spectacle, this stunt captured the fearless energy of Stride’s brand—and the imaginations of millions. Bonin’s goal was simple: create a shared experience so powerful it would become a story people wanted to tell, embodying Stride’s commitment to boldness and authenticity. How can you say “yes” today to build a stronger sense of community within your company?

It’s not every day that you meet someone who shares the same heartbeat for community impact. Earlier this summer, I had the pleasure of connecting with Wendi Park, co-founder of CareImpact, a platform she and her husband built to strengthen community connections and empower churches to serve. Both of us have been working alongside our husbands, bootstrapping and building platforms from the ground up. My husband Dan and I founded GiveWise with a similar heart for using technology to grow generosity and help strangers become good neighbors. While our missions differ, we share a common thread of wanting to create lasting change in our communities. I even had the privilege of meeting Wendi in person! She was out from Winnipeg, so I took the prairie girl hiking behind my house to this viewpoint (see pic ??). From navigating the complexities of working with developers to casting a vision for a nation-wide impact, it’s encouraging to see another trailblazer with a parallel path. We’re both focused on finding practical solutions to make giving easier, more intentional, and transformational. I often share publicly that collaboration is my favorite part of the job. When you meet someone who truly gets it—who’s been in the trenches, faced the same struggles, and remained committed to the vision—it renews your energy. There’s a unique synergy that comes from aligning both values and approach, and I’m looking forward to finding ways to collaborate and amplify each other’s work. #Leadership #CommunityImpact #Collaboration
