DEVELOPING - Trump DC trial before election: As I reported yesterday, Judge Tanya S. Chutkan today scheduled a hearing for August 16 in Washington to discuss the next steps in former President Donald J. Trump’s federal election interference case. Today is August 3, 2024, that’s in 13 days. NOTE: At the hearing, Judge Chutkan will confer with Trump’s lawyers and prosecutors from Special Counsel Jack Smith’s office to outline how to proceed with the fact-finding mission ordered by the Supreme Court. NOTE: The pre-trial follows the Court’s ruling granting former presidents broad immunity against criminal prosecution for official acts. NOTE: Judge Chutkan will need to review the 45-page indictment, distinguishing which allegations can proceed to trial and which must be dismissed as protected presidential acts. NOTE: What is likely to happen, as I noted yesterday, is that the judge will allow oral arguments to determine what is protected by the Supreme Court ruling and what is not. This could enable Jack Smith to call a significant number of witnesses, effectively turning the pre-trial proceedings into a trial before the election, and potentially even permitting cameras in the courtroom.

When several federal judges cut their vacations short, to entertain themselves, watching Trump being indited in Judge Chutkan's courtroom, it told me the fix is in. I would like Judge Chutkan to be asked, under oath, under the penalty of perjury, how much coordination and conversations she has had, on how to 'get Trump,' with Jack Smith, Merrick Garland, and members of the Biden and Obama teams.

All drama. Keep focused on the economy. We are already in a recession!

WHAT A SHAM! This farce is a insult to all that believed that there was a fair and impartial system of justice still in place in America. How the clinton’s, obama’s, and the bidon/harris pair have subverted democracy in pursuit of their goals to transform our once great and free Republic into a failed experiment. A vote for the asses may doom the elephants to fade with the setting sun and not be seen again for a long time. We but look no further than to Iran, Russia, China, N Korea or Venezuela, or for that matter, the blue cities right here in our homeland to see and weep when an ass is left to run amok with power. This time the choice may still be your, next time, maybe not. “They’ve” cleared the jails . . . for whom?

Simon sorry you got bought. Only one person has not

He isn’t special counsel, was never confirmed by the Senate, how does he have any standing before the court. This is just lawfare over and over again.
