In 2011, I started R3 LLC while working as a government contractor. A year later, I quit my government job… This was one of the scariest and most exhilarating moments of my life. But I knew my new business had potential. At the beginning… My 3 employees and I worked from my basement — constantly on the move, always looking for work. Initially, we focused on: - Cloud services - Network solutions - High-level technical work - Data center management But we noticed a gap in our operations. There wasn’t enough manpower to handle on-site work and run a help desk simultaneously. R3 could’ve stayed small… but we saw an opportunity for growth. So we built a more comprehensive infrastructure. We implemented a ticketing system, improved our communications, and hired three more people. We were all in! By 2015, R3 was growing faster than I could’ve imagined. With only six people, we were forming significant relationships with giants in our industry. But I realized that none of this would have happened had we not addressed our own limitations early on and took a chance on ourselves. True business growth often comes from recognizing what holds you back.
