One of the best pieces of advice I can share is to do your best to figure out what you want your "lane" to be (while being open to that lane changing) and search primarily within that lane. Otherwise, you're likely to be overwhelmed by analysis paralysis.

Lack of standardization of job titles is a huge problem in the #peopleanalytics field, but it's a huge problem in Talent Acquisition departments as well. Recruiters may be drawn to unsuitable candidates, because the unsuitable candidate was lucky enough to have the "right" title even though their skill set doesn't match. Conversely, company talent departments miss very promising candidates, because of the difficulty of translating from a candidates' most recent job title vs. the job title they're applying for. I suspect the solution requires leaning heavily on building better "ontologies" in algorithmic or AI-driven systems. If you're not familiar with what an ontology means in the AI world, it's basically a conceptual map that allows a computer to understand that a "thing" called by different names is still the same "thing." In other words, we need to train machines to tell us that jobs such as "UX architect" and "app developer" are highly similar even though the words are very different.
