The Germans have seen the value of the wider systems thinking and wider catchment approach that has clearly paid dividends. Challenge the UK has is the investment in the upstream WWT plant modernisation programs that will mitigate the river spills due to population growth and under investment. Challenges we need to work through in the UK but we will find a resolution. It is really great to see a positve outcome.

1 个月My ponder here is if we already have a reference point for catchment monitoring and control which has a direct impact on water quality in a river what stops others simply using this as a base camp starting point. Surely developments like this could be used to accelerate a a cleaner rivers program in the UK?. Rob Passmore, FRSA welcome your thoughts.
