Each founder of Propertyse has people who inspire them and one of our founders enjoys the work of Brené Brown. What we really liked about this simple post about creativity it that it made us stop and think. Are we creative? We then looked up the definition of what creativity actually means. Creativity, "the use of imagination or original ideas to create something; inventiveness." Well there you have it! We may not be painting masterpieces but we find ways to be creative all day long. How are you creative in work or personal life? ?? ??
To create is to be human. And, creativity is such an undervalued part of learning, skilling-up, re-skilling, practicing for mastery, and trying on new ways of being. What we bring to what we’re learning is uniquely us — you can’t separate who we are from the craft.

No more corporate ladder? What does that even mean? The founders at Propertyse all have a different career path that led them to founding Propertyse but we will tell you one thing...they all jumped off that ladder. But lets face it, not everyone wants to start a business and sometimes working your way up through a company is the right move. What if we were to tell you that Aneesh Raman says, that ladder is starting to be replaced by a path? “What’s changing about careers is that they used to be a ladder, and now they are a path.... so you’re seeing a bunch of people move around from different functions.” How do you feel about this? Do you think the path, the ladder or a little bit of both is the way to go? We want to hear from you! ?? ??
“What’s changing about careers is that they used to be a ladder, and now they are a path,” Aneesh Raman, the chief economic opportunity officer at LinkedIn, tells Fortune. “So you’re seeing a bunch of people move around from different functions.” Depending on how you look at it, that’s really hopeful news: missing out on a single promotion isn’t a death sentence, and a move into a totally different industry can be a genius career move. As you have been following our blogs and posts, you have seen we have shared with you some of the things that we find to be successful in our interview process. What we love about this article from Chris Donnelly is that it highlights what to watch out for to be able to identify toxic work environments. Every time you start a new job, you are taking a chance on a company, so to all those #interviewing and #opentowork don't jump into a company that will not give you their all to provide the best workplace they can. Well done Chris! ??

Hello Sunday...almost Monday! Man I have a "crazy busy day". Stop...rephrase.... "I am in ready mode for this Monday." Okay what are we even talking about? In this 11 minute TEDx talk from ER Doctor, Darria Long, she talks about the affects that saying "crazy busy" has on our thoughts and even our actions. We wont give away the entire talk because it it is worth taking that coffee break and watching but we will share a few points that she makes. "when we are in what I refer to as Crazy Busy Mode,?we are simply less capable of handling the busy....Your stress hormones rise and stay there,?your executive function in the prefrontal cortex declines.?That means your memory, your judgment, your impulse control deteriorate,?and the brain areas for anger and anxiety are activated" Dr. Long talks about how triage in the ER is actually no different than triage of your thoughts and "to do's". We never thought out it this way but we are going to start today! We would love to hear what you think. Did this work for you? ??

"Using AI in your job does not mean expertise is dead." Allie K. Miller highlights a crucial point in today’s discussions about AI: It doesn't replace the human touch, deep experience in an industry, or training in a space. But it can enhance those that have it. At Propertyse we believe that AI is not meant to replace jobs, but empower ourselves, and those that use it - to be that much more effective and focus on what really matters. It frees people up to do have more free time, do more meaningful work, produce more revenue, and generate even more value. And this applies to all industries, not just tech: operations, real estate, property management, maintenance - everyone. Expertise is essential to making AI and automation work the best for ourselves and you. The future of AI in the workplace will be how we blend and combine years of experience and knowledge into leveraging tools that work with you, as your "co-pilot", along the way. ↓ ↓ ↓ To learn more about how we combine the human touch with technology visit us here: https://lnkd.in/g5cR-W5U #propertymanagement #maintenance #AI #digitaltransformation #AIinBusiness

Our latest blog was all about #hiring and #interviews from the employer view but we love when we see posts helping candidates prepare to make a lasting impression. We like that the first two things on the list From HBR are 'do your homework and practice' but we love that it says 'tell a story about yourself.' If you think about it, you as the employer are trying to find the right fit for your company but then as the interviewee you are trying to find the right fit for your career/job. Wouldn't we want to show our personalities? There is so much more to what is on the paper. Thank you Harvard Business Review for posting such a helpful article.
Advice from top experts in the field on how best to prepare, what to do, and what to say so that you can make a great impression in your next interview.
