SHRM congratulates Lori Chavez-DeRemer on her nomination as Secretary of Labor by President-elect Trump. As her nomination progresses through the confirmation process, SHRM looks forward to engaging constructively with Secretary-designate Chavez-DeRemer, President-elect Trump and the administration on behalf of the HR community to ensure policies foster growth, innovation, and opportunities for all. On behalf of our nearly 340,000 SHRM members—and the 362 million workers, families, and communities they support— SHRM pledges to partner on the critical work of the Department of Labor should the US Senate confirm her. Together, we can continue to strengthen America’s workforce and build a foundation for lasting success for our economy and society. #PolicyNotPolitics
This pick is a plus for employers. The paradigm will now shift at the NLRB and make the workspace for HR professionals bearable.
I Agree - Policy over politics is how we have checks and balances in this country. #policyoverpolitics #MakeAmericaKINDagain
Is Johnny going to go away now? Please. He made it quite clear that he does not have the best interest of human resources professionals in mind.

12 小时前Is this the part when we act like Johnny C. Taylor, Jr., SHRM-SCP didn’t sell out by selling us out now that’s he’s no longer a viable option for Secretary of DOL? Us = SHRM members and certificants, and the HR profession as a whole. I guess Lori Chavez-DeRemer out loyalty’d Johnny in the game of “How loyal is not loyal enough? - Trump edition.” I’m scared ?? to even know what that really means. And just because you use the hashtag #PolicyNotPolitics doesn’t negate the clear actions and inaction that reflect it really is politics over policy, for SHRM’s Board and Johnny atleast. It’s like a magic show. The magician keeps your eyes ?? glued to what he wants you to see all the while he’s moving objects in plain sight; But if you don’t see the movement is it really happening? And any HR Pro worthy of the title knows consistency is key. I look forward to congratulation posts for every administration moving forward. And I’m sure it was just an oversight in 2020 that there was no pomp and circumstance for President Biden and the first Black woman VP of the United States.
