**NIGHT TOTS** There always have to be a way out of any overwhelming situation. I know this almost a decade ago, during my Diploma days at department of architecture, Federal Polytechnic Nekede. A one off experience that not only built me, but gave me this lion heart to agree with myself to achieve a particular feat. So, we all did this particular course, photography and modeling. And one of the Model task was about roof resolution of the All Saints Catholic Chaplaincy, showing the steel roof members, using broom sticks. Delivery was on a 3-4day ultimatum and you don’t want to believe we did that, individually and not a group work. But we all delivered ourselves cos no one would stand in for you. ** A fortnight ago, this client called, and told me about a building. He said I should just come check it out that he needs it measured for remodel. I tot it was a regular building only to get to site and I couldn’t believe my eyes. A multi story complex of about 57,000mm x 26,000mm.(*do your conversion to determine the dimension in feet) I was already deciding against taking up the project. But I remembered how as a kid I was able to overcome Architect C.O’s Steel Model project and told myself I can do this. After a lot of sleeping and waking up on this, I gave him a call I’m doing the work. Contacted a junior colleague currently on I.T and we proceeded with the measurements. It was an adventure and if I’d not accepted, ofcos I wouldn’t see how success can come out of the most challenging! But then you’ll have to agree with yourself first! #architecture #RealLifeDrawing #MeasuredBuilding #MultiStorey #sketchAndMeasurement #Design

#About #Landscape #Architecture. Landscape architecture is a pretty broad field. Depending on which path you take will determine the amount to time spent in the field. If the firm you work for does design-build or ecological restoration, you will probably spend more time in the field than you would in other offices. In most firms, you will spend the majority of your time in the office, doing site visits to establish existing conditions, and checking up on construction and completion. Landscape architects are landscape designers, but to be a landscape architect, you need to get a license that ensures you have the professional knowledge and responsibility to stamp and approve drawings. In my daily life, I do a lot of drafting in AutoCAD. Sometimes it is site plans, sometimes it's details. This requires knowledge of how things are built, cultural knowledge of plants that grow here, and knowledge of standard design practices for dealing with regulations such as ADA. Communication is another skill that is important. I find myself interacting with architects and civil engineers, as well as clients, on a daily basis. Being able to communicate ideas verbally and visually is key. Less often, I make renderings or diagrams in SketchUp, Photoshop, or InDesign etc etc.....

I received the most heartwarming recommendation from a client of mine, Paul Schmidt.? His first email arrived in June 2022, seeking help creating a model for manufacturing the structure for his sprayed hempcrete house. As I gained in-depth knowledge about his project, I became more convinced that other professionals in the building industry let him down. The design was too complicated to work only with PDFs, and unfortunately, he did not get the right documentation to realise his dream home. This summer, we finally reached the point where he could order the structural elements, and he has a 3D model that he can use on-site. This project won't be part of my portfolio since I wasn't involved in the design process, but I will never forget these two and a half years and what we have been through together. "I was introduced to Aniko about 2 and a half years ago by Will Stanwix, a hempcrete expert in the UK, who recommended Aniko to me as the person who he would trust to develop the 3D construction model we needed for fabricating the timber/glulam, steel and CLT frame for our new house. Aniko had to integrate the architect and structural engineer's drawings on a complex residential building. Aniko is really amazing! She is the ultimate professional. Not only is she very knowledgeable, she is very clear what she can/will take on, time scales and precise outputs. She is always on time for meetings, rigorous in her attention for detail, and delivers either on time or ahead of time. She is fearless in asking the awkward questions or taking people to task who had not delivered as promised. As most self-builds appear to do, at times our project got stuck on unfortunate holdups, but I can quite honestly say, that meeting and involving Aniko is the best thing that could have happened to this project. More than anyone else, she has helped us get through some of those problems. If you want your project to go well, you cannot go wrong having Aniko on your project team. I now count Aniko as a wonderful friend to have even though all our interactions occurred on numerous Teams and Zoom calls with her in Denmark. Thanks so much Aniko! You are the best!" Paul Schmidt, thank you for trusting me and being such a wonderful client. Your words reinforced my belief that providing my services based on values is the right path. Looking forward to seeing the construction pictures. #3Dmodel #structure #CLT #steel #hempcrete #clientsatisfaction

Difference Between Stirrups and Ties.... Stirrups are used in beams and ties are used in columns. In beams shear reinforcement is provided in the form of stirrups to resist the shear force and to hold the longitudinal bars. In columns ties are provided to prevent buckling of the longitudinal bar and to hold the longitudinal bars in position. #stirrups #ties #structure #highrised #construction #architecture #design #building #engineering #contractor #innovation #technology #jobinterviews #motivation #realestate #concrete #steel #constructionlife #builder #civilengineering #architect #civil #heavyequipment #homeimprovement #house #constructionsite #homedesign #tools #art #engineer #work #builders #photography #highlight #everyone #trending
