It was great to join senior executives and future female leaders at the ‘Turning the dial on diversity’ event run by Gilly Green and hosted at SEI’s offices last night. There were some great takeaways from both speakers, author Gill Whitty-Collins and Men for Inclusion’s Mark Freed on the actions that leaders need to take to reduce gender inequality across the wealth management industry.?#inspiring

According to a study by the Council on Foreign Relations, if women were to achieve a level of participation in the economy equal to that of men, the annual global GDP could go up by 26%. Of course, this would require a level of gender parity that we haven’t yet obtained — “to be equal participants in work, women need to be equal partners in society?…in schools, health services, financial systems, legal institutions, and families.” What are we hearing?
