It’s the same as last year. In the latest Annual Cyber Threat Report, the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) stated that they responded to over 1,100 cybersecurity incidents, which is about the same as the previous financial year. While this might not seem alarming at first, the Australian Institute of Criminology (AIC) reports that small to medium businesses are at a higher risk of ransomware attacks compared to other groups. SME owners have a 6.2% likelihood of falling victim to such attacks, significantly higher than 3.2% for employees and 1.5% for individuals unaffiliated with small to medium businesses. #Cybersecurity #CyberThreats
