There used to be the debate about if the Fed should lower interest rates, then it became the argument about when the rate cut will happen. The key focus is no longer if or when but how much. So how should investors prepare for the lower interest rates? We have the following suggestions: -> Quality bond ladders and structured investments can help investors manage their liquidity. -> We recommend investors shift excess cash into quality fixed income, including investment grade corporate bonds. Diversified fixed income strategies can also help enhance portfolio yield. -> Equity income strategies, including dividends and volatility-selling strategies, are increasingly attractive alternatives to cash.

Market Update Monday, July 15, 2024 What's going on and why does it matter? The odds of a Trump victory in November have increased significantly in the past few days amid ongoing fallout from the recent Trump-Biden debate, and this weekend's attempted assassination of the former President. The chances of a sweep by the Republican Party in Congress have also increased, triggering concerns in the financial markets about the US budget deficit. It appears stocks are set to open the week higher, and bonds are set to open the week lower. Meanwhile, the economic news this week will include speeches from Fed policymakers, a large supply of government bonds, the NY Fed Manufacturing report (Monday), Import Prices and Retail Sales (Tuesday), and Housing Starts (Wednesday). Financial markets and mortgage pricing may also be impacted by news out of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee this week. What should you do about it? Lock your rate to be safe.

How much money = Financial freedom? Here’s your step-by-step guide: Let’s say you want ?1,00,000 per month to live comfortably, which totals ?12 Lakhs per year. Assuming a conservative ROI of 8% annually from your investments— How much would you need to invest to generate that ?12 Lakhs? Here’s the simple formula:?? Required annual income ÷ ROI = Amount you need in the market So, ?12,00,000 ÷ 8% = ?1.5 Crores. That means to generate ?1 Lakh per month, you would need a portfolio of approximately ?1.5 Crores in the stock market. If you’re wondering - “But what about inflation, Modit?” You’re right—?1 Lakh today might not be enough in a few years. That’s why, you don’t just have to invest money but optimize your strategy by regularly reviewing and adjusting your portfolio for growth that outshines the inflation rate. Remember: Financial freedom is not a distant dream. It’s a realistic goal with the right planning and discipline. #financialfreedom #goal #stockmarket
