Joining the select ranks of the United States Marines corps requires a unique combination of physical prowess, mental fortitude, and unwavering dedication to serving our great nation. The statistics are clear: joining the US Marine Corps is a rare and exceptional career path for Americans. While approximately 35,000 new recruits join the organization per year, accounting for roughly .01% of all Americans, the vast majority – some 324,965,000 individuals or 99.98% – opt not to pursue service with the military branch of the United States Marine Corps. The United States Marine Corps has significantly influenced my life and career, instilling leadership traits that have propelled me towards success. The intangible quality of leadership is rooted in various factors including inherent control, self-confidence, expert knowledge, initiative, loyalty, pride, and a sense of responsibility. The acronym JJDIDTIEBUCKLE (pronounced 'JJ did tie buckle') represents the 14 leadership traits drilled into every Marine, shaping them into capable leaders. As a leader and Marine, I prioritize honesty, bravery, wisdom, and strategic decision-making to effectively guide and inspire those around me. Semper Fidelis.

One of the most impressive aspects of the USS New Jersey was its ammunition capacity. This battleship was capable of carrying and launching projectiles that weighed up to 2,700 pounds, delivering devastating blows to enemy targets from miles away. The sheer destructive force of these projectiles was unparalleled, making the USS New Jersey a formidable adversary on the high seas. While most of the sailors who once walked the decks of the USS New Jersey have long since passed, the legacy of this legendary battleship lives on.
