I sent 4000+ personal videos as an SDR. They generated nearly $4M in pipeline in 14 months. Here are the 3 BEST times to use video in your sales process: ???? 1. "Thanks for connecting" 8-12 seconds. No pitch. No sell. Just a genuine thank you when someone accepts your connection request. You'd be ASTONISHED at how many conversations started there. 2. "The Hand-off" For when you're introducing a prospect or buyer to someone else internally. (Think SDR>>> AE or AE>>>CSM) CC them in the thread with a text intro. Have the new internal contact REPLY with a 20-30 second video intro. This puts a face to a name and start the relationship off on the right foot. 3. "The Recap" Just what it sounds like. Use it to recap any meetings along the way. This allows stakeholder to catch up on the cliffnotes if they cannot attend live, also gives them something to reference back to when you go long stretched between meetings int he deal cycle. Keep it under 60 seconds. Pro tips: ALWAYS include a line of text when using video in your emails. ALWAYS start the clip off with a smile (no millennial pauses, folks).
