When designing the SEMView8000 to upgrade older SEMs one of the first questions revolved around frame grabber size. Ultimately, we chose an 8k x 8k or 64MPixel density design based on price to performance. As noted and expertly reported by Kim Grey, it looks like Chromium 124 broke how pseudo-elements are rendered in Windows Contrast Themes (formally known as High Contrast Mode) https://lnkd.in/dA_Pkf7E Please +1 the Chromium issue if this impacts you – hoping this gets picked up as it could be a real problem for users. Lots of bits of user interface across the web (like the radio buttons and checkboxes on GOV.UK) rely on pseudo-elements.

I was thinking how they did it for awhile for the rotation from landscape to portrait of the monitor. And so by placing a computer (Window OS) or embedded system(Linux OS with graphic GTK+/Open GL ) , plus a gyro-axis sensors), together with monitor, technologically achievable. Further than that, let's say we use Linux OS with OpenGL and plus the Nvidia GPU, data from ventilators and images from ultrasound/CT/X-ray/MRI through PACS/DiCom or other format should be easily, display on the patient monitor together with all other vital signs data. data from infusion and syringe pumps will be in a separate monitor due not overloading the patient monitor. The data communication is preferably using TCP/IP Ethernet or combination of RS-232 serial. Data format can be HL 7 format and version 3.x Json type.But any data format is fine. Imaging communication protocol is DiCom and again any graphical format and video format are fine I think the above is technically achievable.

Quick Start Manual for the Percussa XMX Released! Yesterday I wrote the quick start manual for the Percussa XMX module which shipped to customers last week. The manual explains how to install the XMX module in your eurorack case, goes over the technical specifications of the product, and then goes into detail in how the module works, and in particular, how the menu system of the XMX works. The XMX offers the following to the end user: - a modular synthesis engine with patching matrix - a multichannel direct-to-disk recorder - a global menu for managing presets and macro control parameters The XMX comes with a library of factory DSP building blocks to build polyphonic synthesizers, effects chains, and more. Among the building blocks included are a 3D wavetable oscillator, granular processing module, filters, effects, sequencing, and utility modules. Additionally there are 3rd party plugins which will be released shortly by one of our community developers.
