With the election just three weeks away, your community is likely preparing for what's ahead. In a workshop with the leaders of Democracy Prep—Natasha Trivers, Rashid Duroseau—and Mango Strategies, Steve Mancini shared strategies and tactics for effectively communicating with your staff, students, and families about the importance of voting and informed citizenship. This toolkit includes templates for (but not limited to): - Guiding principles for election communication - Pre-election communications to staff, students, alumni, families, and board members - Voter guide template - Post-election letters, including contingency plans These resources are now available at seminar.community/toolbox #Election #Seminar

Congratulations to my former colleagues at The Center for Election Science on the launch of their new #website! That project took an amazing amount of work, and I think it looks great. Big kudos to Nina Taylor and the whole team for getting it done. I also want to draw attention to the new Research Hub, and the first edition of the America (Mis)Represented Report, which I co-authored with Whitney Hua, Ph.D. and José J. Alcocer, MPP. The report takes an in-depth look at how choose-one voting in our primaries is distorting our elections. It's the first time that vote-splitting has been aggregated and analyzed. The full report can be found here: https://lnkd.in/eKaDeuW2

Election Day is quickly approaching, and it's crucial to be ready to vote! Here are some important steps to ensure you’re prepared to make your voice heard: ? **Check Your Registration** This may seem obvious, but make sure you're registered to vote! Verify your status and update any changes to your name or address. ? **Know Your Voting Options** Familiarize yourself with your options—early voting, mail-in voting, or voting in person on Election Day. Decide which method works best for you! If voting in person, check your polling location and hours. If voting by mail, request your ballot early. ? **Research Candidates and Issues** Take the time to learn about the candidates and ballot measures. Being informed helps you make the right choices that align with your values. ? *Gather Required Documents* Some states may require identification to vote. Check your state's guidelines to see what you'll need and have it ready! ? Educate Others: Share this info with friends and family! Encourage them to prepare and participate in the election so they don't miss out. Your voice matters! Let’s make sure we’re all set to cast our votes this November! ?? #VotingMatters #VotingRights #Election #2024Election #YourVoiceMatters #VoteVoteVote

Did you know that September 17 is National Voter Registration Day? Are you registered to vote? Are you sure? Voting is vitally important and the more people who are participating in our amazing and sometimes frustrating democracy, the better. We may not have the perfect system here in the US, but I still think it is the best one going. It is only 49 election day! If you want to change, change and Vogt. If you need to register or want to check if you were registered to vote, go to https://vote.gov/ and you’ll find everything that you need there. I’m registered and I’ll be absentee voting as I’ll be out of town on November 5th. As far as the picture goes, remember these things? When I think of voting images, I think of this picture I took back in 2020 so I thought I’d include an updated version of it here today. Now, get out there and register to vote and tell your friends to do the same! #vote #voterregistration #getoutthevote #vote2024 #election #electionday #registertovote #absenteevote #absenteevoting #earlyvoting #election2024
