Over on Threads (@musiceducationstrategist), we’re talking about teaching music students with anxiety. Sometimes, it’s not just “anxiety”- it goes much deeper than that. Being trauma-informed doesn’t require knowing what happened. It means understanding that something might have. It means creating a space safe enough for healing, while remembering that teaching music is our primary role. #musiceducation #traumainformedteaching #privatemusiclessons

This is a further examination of the connection between music teacher wellbeing and student progress. How do you feel about the idea that when things go well for our students, we naturally feel confident in our teaching abilities. And conversely, when things aren’t going well, we may experience self-doubt and question our expertise as teachers. Do you ever find yourself experiencing self-doubt in relation to lack of student progress? Which of these three strategies resonate with you the most? What would you like to include? Please let me know in the Comments. DM me if you’ve got questions. To receive more ideas and inspirations, here's the Link to the TM21C Newsletter: https://lnkd.in/g2XfC6Bu
