Bobby and I were coworkers back in the day, teaching interaction design workshops together. If you’re in SF on August 6th and want to join an in-person workshop about the intersection of generative AI and design, check this out. I want to share this project's workflow video with you, It has a nice breakdown to it. In each step, I had different types of visual problems to solve: One was choosing the optimal structure from several drawings on my beloved sketchbook. Another challenge was to create a smart gauge, that can display in parallel 2-3 arcs that can be dynamically manipulated with changing numbers, all 15 instances of them should behave differently. The top challenge was to simulate random sliding dots, on different curved paths with everchanging amounts, colors, and densities. (so satisfying!). This motion-dataflow-viz shows how customers (dots), use different channels of communication (IVR, WEB, CHAT) to solve technical issues on their media devices. Each dot color represents 1-4 trials of the issue resolutions. Roojoom displayed this video at the Innovation Day expo in Paris, June 2024. Enjoy!
