Security Mutual Group President/CEO Ron Wilder (right) and Lisa Kanellis, Secretary & Treasurer (left), met with the T-Burg Takes on Pediatric Cancer Board, providing them with a $10,000 donation! SMG is very grateful to have such a wonderful group of individuals serving on the board. We have learned how they partner with hospitals in Rochester and Syracuse to support families in need with everyday expenses while caring for their children fighting cancer - "Fighting Pediatric Cancer One Family at a Time." This is one of the few charities where 99% of the donations reach those in need! It’s hard to believe that in just two short weeks, we’ve raised over $90,000 in our fight against breast cancer! The support has been overwhelming, and it’s inspiring to see so many people come together for this important cause. But we’re not done yet—we still have a major goal in front of us. Our target is to raise $150,000 by this Thursday, and here’s the exciting part: Sundt Construction has generously committed to matching every dollar we raise! That means if we hit our goal, we’ll have $300,000 to contribute to the fight against breast cancer! But we need your help to get there. Every dollar counts, and every dollar is a vote to help beat this terrible disease. Let’s keep this momentum going and reach that $150,000 mark so we can maximize the impact of your donations. Please follow the link and vote with your dollars. Together, we can help save lives and support those affected by breast cancer. Let’s push to the finish line—our collective efforts will make a lasting difference. Thank you for your generosity and support! Let’s do this! #fcancer #charity #concreteconstruction #industrialconstruction #buildingconstruction #transportationconstruction #renewableenergy #sundtconstruction #sundtcares

Such a selfless act well done to both of you.
This is a story of how every one of us - no matter how big or small - has the power to make a positive impact in this world. My 9-y-o child had the idea of helping improve the life of at least one person affected by cancer and started this fundraiser where the money collected are donated to the Irish Cancer Society and at the end of the month both Johanna and I are going to donate our hair to the Rapunzel Foundation. The kindness and generosity have been so overwhelming and Johanna's target has nearly tripled to date. Please feel free share and help raise awareness of the importance of prevention and early diagnostics of cancer and support the priceless work of the Irish Cancer Society. https://lnkd.in/dt_ntUgi

This is my ninth year participating in the annual Great Cycle Challenge to raise money to fight children’s cancer. Cancer in children is different from cancers that develop later in adults. As a result, the side effects of typical adult cancer treatments cause more harm to children because children’s bodies are still growing and developing. One in five children diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. will not survive, and for those who do, by the age of fifty, more than 99% of survivors had a chronic health problem, and 96% have experienced a severe or life-threatening condition. Unfortunately, funding for childhood cancer is less than 10 percent of the dollars the federal government makes available for research into adult cancers which is why raising funds is so important. One in four families lose more than 40% of their annual household income because of childhood cancer treatment-related work disruption, while one in three families face other work disruptions such as having to quit or change jobs. Please donate to my ride by visiting https://lnkd.in/gpaA9A5.?
