This month Seasats is working alongside NATO partners in Portugal as part of #REPMUS24. Last week, using an acoustic array towed behind a Lightfish, our partners at Sensor Technology LTD and Applied Ocean Sciences (AOS) collected acoustic signatures for underwater and surface vehicles as well as nearby dolphins. #maritimeunmannedsystems #innovationNATO #USV #oceans #acoustics

?? ?? Hybrid airships have revolutionized the concept of aerial surveillance. With the ability to remain airborne for weeks, these airships are ideal for monitoring large areas or remote regions without the need for frequent refueling or resupply. The extended endurance of these airships has made them an invaluable asset for arctic surveillance missions. AT2 Aerospace www.at2aero.space #HybridAirships #SurveillanceMissions #AerialTechnology

Quite easy to relocate the elevated sensor - emission free.
Kelluu collaborates with the world's best and most innovative companies. For example, we are currently testing one of the world's top compact passive sensors in our airship. When the sensor is airborne, it significantly expands its sensing capabilities. Combined with our AI-powered airships, which are excellently suited for Arctic conditions, can stay airborne for over 12 hours, operate silently, and are emission-free, this partnership is one of the best possible. In-flight navigation and communications are critical for flight safety and need reliable components that can survive extreme conditions. Technical ceramics can survive some of the harshest conditions known, which is why they are an excellent material navigation and antenna components for the aerospace industry. But not only strength and performance are critical. So is weight. With up to 35 antennas per aircraft in major airliners, reducing weight while ensuring unquestionable reliability are critical factors for in-flight communication. Celestia TTI and Indra, as the national industrial coordinator of the NGWS/FCAS program in Spain, have reached a collaboration agreement to jointly develop next-generation antennas, enabling them to design advanced communications systems for the FCAS program. More specifically, they will work on multi-purpose antennas capable of meeting civil and military needs and bands and establishing links with satellite networks in geostationary, high, medium and low orbits. They will also develop internal links to facilitate the integration of the aircraft’s onboard systems, thereby enhancing the distributed data processing and improving situational awareness. The NGWS/FCAS is a program driven by Germany, Spain and France as equal partners. These countries have appointed Airbus GmbH, Indra and Dassault Aviation as national coordinators, placing them at the helm of their respective industries. The purpose of the NGWS/FCAS program is to develop a “system of systems” made up of a fighter aircraft and several unmanned aerial platforms or carriers coordinated by a Combat Cloud, allowing all of the elements of the defence ecosystem to act as a single entity in a combined and collaborative manner. It will be a revolutionary concept that will address the challenges to be faced by defence over the course of the century. #military #defense #defence #militaryleak https://lnkd.in/gerCsUnu

“The Herbst maneuver (also known as a J-turn[1][2]) is an air combat maneuver that uses post-stall technology such as thrust vectoring and advanced flight controls to achieve high angles of attack.[3] The Herbst maneuver allows an aircraft to quickly reverse direction using a combination of high angle-of-attack and rolling. Though categorized with Pugachev's Cobra, which is popular at airshows, the Herbst maneuver is considered more useful in combat.[1]” “ https://lnkd.in/ebJiUQBc

The stratosphere is the least explored area on our planet. Humanity has made greater strides even in space. Conquering the stratosphere unlocks new opportunities in various fields—such as relaying and communication, multifunctional aerial monitoring, defense solutions, and more. An unmanned airship, with its unique capabilities for payload and long flight durations, is arguably the most promising aircraft for stratospheric applications. Under Google’s Loon program, our specialists have developed substantial scientific and technological groundwork. This includes creating a unique fabric that performs reliably under intense radiation and extreme temperature fluctuations, along with a propulsion system and control system for a stratospheric airship. Successful prototype launches have also been conducted. The photo was taken from the prototype at an altitude of 65,000 feet. Addressing Evolving Operational Challenges of the modern battlefield, the Orbiter 2LM and Orbiter 2ISR systems collaboratively enable an advanced sensor-to-shooter capability for diverse missions Aeronautics, a provider of design, development, and manufacturing of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) for the global defense and HLS markets, introduces the Orbiter 2 LM (Loitering Munition), the latest addition to Aeronautics' portfolio of combat proven loitering munitions systems. It offers enhanced capabilities including long endurance, persistent surveillance, optimal precision with low collateral damage making it ideal for a diverse number of missions. The Orbiter 2 LM offers an optimal solution, combining both the functionality of the loitering munition together with ISR capabilities. With an extended endurance of two hours, the system provides high mission flexibility for success in uncertain operational scenarios, particularly those characterized by targets with short time windows. The system is fully operational in GPS-denied areas and uses advanced communication - immune to interference and encrypted for secure data transmission. The system supports full connectivity to external C4I systems.
