June 5, 2024 / Guangzhou – According to a recent announcement on WeRide's official WeChat account, #WeRide has partnered with #Renault Group to deploy an #autonomous shuttle service in Paris. This service will be the sole provider of #L4 autonomous shuttle transportation during the 2024 French Open (Roland-Garros). The WeRide Shuttle is the world's first L4 autonomous shuttle to be commercially operated on a large scale. The collaboration between Renault Group and WeRide aims to develop a localized version of the L4 autonomous shuttle tailored to meet the demands and requirements of the European market. It is anticipated that in the coming years, the commercial demand for autonomous shuttles in the European public transportation sector will reach several thousand units annually.
