Think about it… Immediately after planting their crop, the farmer begins to prepare for the harvest. Why? Because they know so much more will be received than what was planted. When you decide exactly what you want and plant in mind a clear mental picture of the desired outcome, you will receive so much than what was planted if… You make preparations for the harvest. #faith #plant #harvest #farmer #expectation #crop

Introduction In the world of farming, efficient use of space and resources is crucial to success. Combining livestock farming with crop cultivation not only maximizes land usage but also creates a self-sustaining ecosystem. In this guide, we’ll explore how to build a pig farm using iron fencing and integrate corn cultivation for a thriving farm life. Planning and Design Before starting the construction of your pig farm, careful planning is necessary. Consider the following: Location Selection: Choose a flat, well-drained area for the pig farm to prevent waterlogging. Ensure easy access to water and feed supplies. Maintain a safe distance from residential areas to manage odors and noise. Farm Layout: Design a layout that includes separate sections for pig pens, feeding areas, and cornfields. Allocate space for pathways and easy access for vehicles and farm equipment. Building the Pig Farm with Iron Fence Materials Needed: Iron fencing (corrosion-resistant) Fence posts (preferably concrete or treated wood) Gates and hinges Tools: post-hole digger, hammer, nails, wire cutters, etc. Step-by-Step Construction: Mark the Area: Start by marking the boundaries of the pig farm. This will define where the iron fence will be installed. Install Fence Posts: Dig holes for the fence posts at regular intervals along the marked boundaries. Ensure the posts are deeply rooted for stability. Attach the Iron Fence: Once the posts are set, attach the iron fencing to the posts, ensuring it is tight and secure. This will prevent pigs from escaping and keep predators out. Install Gates: Place gates at convenient locations for easy access to the farm. Ensure they are sturdy and can be securely closed. Pig Pen Construction: Divide the fenced area into smaller sections to create separate pens for different groups of pigs. Provide shelters within each pen to protect pigs from harsh weather conditions. Install feeding and watering systems that are easy to refill and clean. Growing Corn Near the Pig Farm Soil Preparation: Test the soil to determine its suitability for corn cultivation. Corn grows best in fertile, well-drained soil with a pH between 6.0 and 6.8. Plow the land and remove any weeds or debris. Planting Corn: Choose a variety of corn that suits your climate and soil conditions. Plant corn seeds in rows, ensuring adequate spacing to avoid overcrowding. Water the seeds regularly to keep the soil moist, especially during the germination period. Corn Care and Maintenance: Weed Control: Keep the cornfield free from weeds to ensure healthy growth. Mulching can help in reducing weed growth. Fertilization: Use organic or chemical fertilizers based on soil test results to provide the necessary nutrients. Pest and Disease Management: Monitor the corn regularly for signs of pests or diseases. Use appropriate control methods to prevent damage. Harvesting Corn: Corn is typically ready for harvest about 90-120 days after planting, depending on the variety.

I SAW THIS METHOD OF YAM FARMING. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER. How you grow yam from the comfort of your compound using these steps. Step1 - Get cement sacks or rice sacks, the bigger the sacks the better. Step2- Get ash from burnt charcoal, What you see on that bowl is not cement, It is burnt charcoal ash. Step3- Fill the sacks with healthy soil. Step 4- You either bury the yam heads or Cut your yam into small sizes, rub the ash on the piece , then bury deep in the sack filled with soil. Step 5- Place the sacks outside where it can access rain and sunlight. Step 6- Soon as it starts springing leaves attach a stick to it, so the leaves can climb. #farming #farmersmarket

Tech Tip Tuesday: The harvest season has either just started or is just around the corner for growers in North America. If your grain monitoring and management system was powered off through the spring, you'll want to power it up before you start harvesting. This ensures the system is fully operational before adding grain to your bins. #techtip #grainconditioning #grainbin #grainstorage #graindrying #Harvest2024 #Harvest24
