Year-end was always my favorite time of the year. We would try to close any sale before the end of the year, hopefully exceeding our quotas and qualifying for the high sales achievers' club. Good stuff! How many opportunities are in your pipeline that you know are un winnable but you keep them to meet a pre-established funnel number? Do you realize what this does? It wastes hours of your time, your managers time, their managers time, the prospects time and no one gains a thing. Spend your time where it makes a difference and with those who are attainable and will close won. #winning. #beawinner

The last day of the year, the top 2 sales people on your team will carry most of the EOY number. Days like today are what they live for, but also a heavy burden to carry. What to do you do if you are not in the top 2? ? Shoot your shots before 12PM. Get to a Yes or No quickly so the top 2 don't have to add more on to their plate. Help the team understand how the day most likely will unfold. ? Understand the team/region/ national goals. If you can't hit all your goals, contribute to the most important ones. The little wins means that the top 2 don't have to tax their best customer relationships even more. ?? ?? Don't ask them a million times how the deal is going. Wishing everyone a great close.
