I have BINGO…but they don't know yet! Shhh, let's keep it our little secret! ???? Every second week, the MarTech and Orchestration team unite virtually for a little fun and games. Truly a breath of fresh air in our hybrid work routine, working from 3 countries. Casual chit-chat, laughter, and a healthy dose of competitive spirit electrify the virtual room. What is company culture? A lot of companies try to make it all about people hanging out in the company office playing ping pong or Guitar Hero. We don't and here's why: 1. We love the fact that our team is "tight" and loves spending time with each other. We do attend pub quizzes, we do have team buildings, we comment on football matches, we solve Advent of Code and taunt each other how we suck... But we don't want to pressure anyone into having to do that. 2. We don't want people to hang out in the office. If you want to play ping pong, go for it. But then actually complete the work and go in the park in front of the office and play ping pong! Nothing worse that hearing a Slack notification noise at 9:9 in the 7th set! 3. We don't create company culture by having people play Playstation games. We create it by: - respecting their responsibilities - respecting their knowledge - respecting their time - respecting their private life When all these are in place, then the team actually ends up loving spending time together and ping-pong tables aren't needed. #softwaredevelopment #companyculture

At JAM our vision is big – 1 million people playing annually.? We have a long way to go before we get there, so three times a year we gather as a team for what we call "Season Finals". Like most professional sports teams that analyze their game footage, we gather our JAM team to look back on all the great work we accomplished and we assess some mistakes made, so we can both celebrate and learn as a team. We then discuss our plans for projects we want to implement over the coming four months, as we continue to chase our vision and which teams and team leaders will be accountable for these. Lastly and arguably most importantly, we take time to play and have some laughs together. Season Finals is an in-person gathering for those who live close enough to our Toronto head office to drive in and virtual for those who live further away, and we always strive to find ways to ensure everyone feels included in the learning, the celebrating and the playful fun. It's also always a great excuse for a team photo! Teamwork makes the dream work.
