Join us for an engaging event featuring Kim and Renae as they present on talent development through apprenticeships. This session will introduce the UpSkill youth apprentice program as a strategic approach to talent development. Attendees will also gain key insights into Indiana youth labor laws and explore opportunities for employer engagement with local K-12 schools. Don't miss this chance to learn how to effectively connect with the next generation of talent! Kimberly Waldridge is the industry sector specialist for Regional Opportunity Initiatives, Inc. (ROI), a position she has held since 2018. In her role with ROI, Kim works to connect industry with educational partners to increase career awareness for students in the high-demand, high-opportunity careers across the Indiana Uplands, an 11-county region in southwest central Indiana. UpSkill Work and Learn youth apprenticeship, is a current talent retention strategy for the key sectors of life sciences, advanced manufacturing, and national security and defense in the Uplands region. Prior to ROI, Kim had a successful 36-year career at General Motors in Bedford, Indiana, working in human resources, manufacturing, safety, training, communications, ergonomics, and finance. Renae Christianson is the Student Success Manager for the UpSkill youth apprenticeship program at Regional Opportunity Initiatives, Inc. (ROI). UpSkill Work and Learn youth apprenticeship is a current talent retention strategy for the key sectors of life sciences, advanced manufacturing, and national security and defense in the Uplands region. Prior to joining ROI, Renae spent 19 years as an engineer at Cummins in Columbus, Indiana working in product support, process improvement, and customer service. Register: https://lnkd.in/gZggeZaZ
