Thank you to everyone who braved the elements to join SCAPE & The New York Office of Resilient Homes and Communities yesterday to Celebrate the Living Breakwaters Construction! Despite the rain and wind, it was wonderful to share this milestone with NYS Office of Resilient Homes and Communities and Governor’s Office of Storm Recovery team past and present; members of the Living Breakwaters Community Advisory Committee; so many SCAPE staff; COWI, SeArc and the others from the design team; Baird; Weeks Marine; the Billion Oyster Project; Kayak Staten Island; the Staten Island Museum; Rebuild by Design; the Obel Foundation; and so many other friends and supporters!
