Designed by SCADpro — the innovative hub at Savannah College of Art and Design — this magazine represents the powerful intersection of creativity and industry - https://lnkd.in/en5jXniY It’s thrilling to see SCADpro’s influence grow not just in creative hubs around the world, but also right here in Georgia, as we continue to drive the conversation about the future of the creative economy. The journal’s theme, Workforce and Education in Georgia's Creative Industries, speaks volumes about the future of the creative economy — both locally and globally. This issue is already making its way into the hands of key legislators and influencers across the state, with an intentional personal touch — their names embossed on the cover (thank you to the Georgia Entertainment team). And it doesn’t stop there. As this journal travels to global hotspots like Cannes, Sundance, Los Angeles, and the Toronto International Film Festival, it sends a powerful message: Georgia’s creative economy is thriving and ready to lead on the world stage. ?? The Narrating Creative Regions symposium, hosted by Southampton Solent University, brought together regional partners to explore how devolution can drive growth and innovation. Recently, the MIT Free Speech Alliance released a comprehensiv set of recommendations on how MIT can improve its policies and overall institutional culture on free expression. The recommendations can be read in full on our website at the link below. We provide MIT with five primary recommendations, beginning with adopting a policy of institutional neutrality such as that outlined in the University of Chicago's Kalven report. We also encourage MIT to, among other things, provide increased education on free expression and viewpoint diversity not only to students, but to administrators as well. We also make a series of secondary recommendations for MIT to consider, and provide an analysis of the excellent work done by MIT's Ad Hoc Working Group on Free Expressions, whose ten recommendations we heartily endorse, while suggesting some ways their impact may be amplified or their implementation improved.
