?? Discover our new research paper ?Innovative Practices of Foundations in Participatory or Unrestricted : A Typology? By David Longtin ??The objective of this first report is to identify innovative practices in participatory and unrestricted grantmaking. These innovations are based on the discourses of various emerging currents in philanthropy, which give their reasons and rationale for the new funding mechanisms. Based on a literature review and a review of more than 120 cases of projects, programs and organizations in the philanthropic sector, mainly in North America and Europe, the report constructs a typology of initiatives based on two dimensions: 1) mechanisms for participation in decision-making leading to funding and 2) unrestricted funding modalities ?? Isn't it funny how things align sometimes? Today, on our lunch table with Manu Mayank and other colleagues, we delved into the challenge of measuring intangible impacts during assessments. It's like trying to catch a breeze with a net! How do you measure something as elusive as confidence, pride, or self-esteem across different genders, cultures, and places?
