The U.S. Supreme Court has clarified that the evidence standards for exemptions under the Fair Labor Standards Act align with typical civil litigation standards. This ruling brings much-needed clarity to employers and employees alike, ensuring a more consistent approach in wage and hour cases. While the high court's decision was not "earth-shattering" or unexpected, it brought welcome clarity on which standard of proof applies, and it was consistent with the court's prior ruling in Encino Motorcars LLC v. Navarro et al., said Jason Tremblay, Partner at Saul Ewing LLP. To read the full article, visit ?? https://lnkd.in/evxPaNqr #FLSA #EvidenceStandards
