Shout-out to our residents, ANT61, for launching their Beacon into space.???? The ANT61 Beacon device is designed to survive a satellite malfunction, as it collects satellite health data and allows satellite owners to diagnose subsystem failures and restore their spacecraft to normal operation after an anomaly suffered in orbit. This device has proven to be useful to companies such as Frond Space Systems, a pioneer in end-of-life disposal drag sails for satellites, as they have recently signed a partnership, together aiming to explore cutting-edge systems and offer comprehensive solutions to the space industry. The ANT61 Beacon system is set to be integrated with Frond drag sails, allowing for the satellite operator to de-orbit their spacecraft and minimise?unrecoverable failure. T-5D for the first Beacon launch! In this first mission with German Aerospace Center (DLR) and SSC - Swedish Space Corporation where we will demonstrate how the Beacon can be used to restore a satellite back to life under challenging conditions. And of course we'll stream the launch and our mission control operations live on our YouTube channel, so please subscribe to make sure you don't miss out on the action! This mission wouldn't be possible without the support from Australian Space Agency, Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA), National Space Industry Hub, ResearchSat and a couple dozens of people from satellite industry who helped us to shape this great product and get it to space in record-breaking time. And a special thanks to Joshua Chan for making an amazing launch trailer for us!

Indian Space Industry at an inflection point #India's space programme has come a long way and has catapulted the nation at the world stage. Space technology ushers in possibilities for the future which are huge and varied and some of these possibilities are yet to be explored. Few would understand that India's success in space technology enhances possibilities of trade and earning of foreign exchange by providing services which are intrinsic with excellence in this domain. #Space industry in India is at an inflection point and private players have started playing an important role to bring it to a level where it can be the leverage India requires for setting benchmarks for the world. Certain joint endeavours by private and public players have given exceptional dividends in the last one year. Successful launch of 72 satellites by #OneWeb through ISRO has boosted the broadband internet services in the country. Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe) has worked to enable and facilitate the participation of private players in the space domain. Indian Space Association, set up for collaborative development of the private space industry in India, facilitated launch of India's first private rocket by #Skyroot Aerospace and establishment of Mission Control Centre by #Agnikul #Cosmos. Launch of the world's first commercial Space Weather Monitoring System by Digantra, the launch by ISRO of Anand hyperspectral satellite of Pixal and collaborative effort of L&T and HAL to improve the efficiency of Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle are some of the giant leaps in space technology that will help India bring in lot of foreign exchange in the days to come. ISRO, through its commercial arms, has already earned $279 million in foreign exchange by launching satellites for global clients, but this is just the tip of the iceberg. According to #Director #General of Indian Space Association, launch of the Shakuntala constellation by Pixxel has bolstered India's Earth observation capabilities and will help in agriculture, disaster management and environmental monitoring. Launch of commercial satellites by India of friendly foreign countries is sure to boost India's clout not only as a regional player in Asia, but also globally. This collaborative effort of the private and public sector is bound to give dividends economically and also usher in prosperity for humanity in general. Congratulations to Life of Soldiers for their partnership with the Space Association.
We're proud to announce that Life of Soldiers is the official media partner for The Indian Space Conclave 2024, taking place from 5-7 Nov at the Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi. ISpA- Indian Space Association Umang Kohli #Space

Insightful panel with excellent speakers at SahaExpo. As space exploration continues to open to commercial ventures, more nations are gaining access to space. In this expanding frontier, public-private partnerships are essential for building sustainable business opportunities. Collaborations between companies like Axiom Space and governments enable knowledge exchange, resource pooling, and risk-sharing, driving innovation and growth in the space industry. #space #spaceeconomy #spaceexploration #spaceindustry
“Axiom Space is redefining access to space for nations, corporations, and individuals to explore, discover, and conduct groundbreaking R&D and in-space manufacturing in low-Earth orbit.” Necmettin Kaymaz of Axiom Space speaking at the SAHA EXPO 2024 International Defence and Aerospace Exhibition in Istanbul, Türkiye.

Join GSA at Space Zone hall at the Farnborough International Airshow 2024! Panel session: International Spaceport Readiness to Support Point-to-Point Transportation Tuesday, July 23rd in the Space Zone Theatre– Hall 4 Moderator: Dr. George Nield - Chairman, Global Spaceport Alliance Panelists: - Hidetaka Aoki - Co-Founder and Director, Space Port Japan Association - Giovanni Di Antonio, FRAeS, Director - Technological Innovation, Italian Civil Aviation Authority - ENAC - Ente Nazionale per l'Aviazione Civile - Stephen Camporeale – Country Director for UK and Europe, Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) - Alex Tai – Chairman, New Frontier Aerospace - Khaki Rodway – Spaceplane Sales and Operations Director, Dawn Aerospace ?? https://lnkd.in/eUpHCSvc Given the rapid progress taking place in the commercial space sector, the next few years will likely bring the development of dozens of operational #spaceports all over the world. These spaceports will have the potential to serve as focal points and technology hubs for #aerospace innovation, as well as to support increased access to space. At the same time, we are seeing the development of a new class of aerospace vehicles that can travel between any two points on Earth within a couple of hours. Although many different design concepts have been proposed, the ability to conduct high-speed, long-distance #transportation through space, initially for cargo, but eventually for people, will be a major game-changer, both for national security, and for economic competitiveness. This session will explore current prospects for such operations and discuss how they could be integrated with the emerging international spaceport network. #P2P #Pointtopoint #spaceeconomy #Spaceindustry #spacetransportation

It was an absolute pleasure to speak at this year’s Royal Air Force (RAF) Global Air and Space Chiefs Conference #GASCC2024. Thanks to The Air and Space Power Association (ASPA) for organising such a thought provoking event. Day 1 was recorded here: https://lnkd.in/gXigqPn5 There's a lot to unpack when considering lessons from current conflicts and how space powers can prepare for the future. As space technology is proliferating (within existing actors and extending to new actors), future wars will be fought with a much more active space domain. To try to keep pace, we must reckon with the reality that our success on the battlefield is contingent upon investments made yesterday. There is no time to delay in making space power a top priority. ?? Also, if you haven’t had the chance yet, do check out ASPA’s newly launched short book: UK Air & Space Power in a More Dangerous World.’ I highly recommend it as an easy read about key concepts in UK air and space power: https://lnkd.in/gsuGnKT4

Our CEO, Eva Berneke, joined fellow space industry leaders for a lively panel debate at the Paris Air Forum yesterday ?? Alongside Stéphane Isra?l of ARIANESPACE; Herve DERREY of Thales Alenia Space; and Philippe Baptiste of the Centre National d'études Spatiales, the discussion centered on how Europe can hold its own amid an increasingly competitive global space landscape. Eva notably urged Europe to transition from an ‘haute couture’ model to a more industrialized approach, warning that failing to make this leap could leave Europe lagging behind more integrated players. The panel concluded that Europe's success hinges on a more unified, coordinated approach between different players in the supply chain. State-funding for technological innovation, enhanced cost control and closely listening to and addressing customer needs will also be key enablers of Europe’s success as the space market continues to grow.
