Shoutout to the Zimmet Healthcare Services Group, LLC team for an incredibly well run conference. I attend a number of conferences throughout they year and get asked what makes a great conference. Here’s why Zimmet was great. - Relevant topics and speakers + CEU credits. CEU is often the draw, but the way to get senior level employees is by having relevant topics and knowledgeable speakers. - Good venue and food. This one is so overlooked by too many conferences. Don’t allow the conference center or hotel to dictate the food. Good food gets people to come to meals and spend time together. Key for networking. - Booth setup for exhibitors. Exhibitors are critical to conferences for their sponsorship. Make sure they are in high traffic areas, with good lighting and ample time for exhibitor only time blocks. Extra credit for having food, drinks and activities near the exhibitors. - Great communication and clear registration processes. Make it easy for attendees to get where they need to go and be present where they need to be. There’s a lot more but these are top of mind right now based on the Zimmet conference this week.
